It was an energy-filled afternoon for PIP’s 2nd General Membership Meeting and Industry Forum, held last June 25 at Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas.

With the theme “Prescribing Policy and General Framework on Roof-Mounted Solar Programs,” our guest speaker, Ms. Liza Pangilinan, Chief of the Technical Services Management Division of the Department of Energy, provided valuable insights into the country’s renewable energy landscape. Her presentation covered the renewable energy profile as well as the consumer-based renewable energy programs and their potential applications for the packaging industry.

Our second speaker, Mr. Philip Roxas, Head of Business Development at Berde Renewables, tackled the timely topic “Keep the Lines Running, Cut the Energy Bill: An Ops Playbook for Packaging Plants.” His presentation explored an operational solution to help companies maintain production continuity while managing and reducing energy costs.

The forum provided PIP members with timely insights and practical perspectives on navigating today’s energy challenges while exploring opportunities for a more sustainable and cost-efficient future.
