Ampon Alaga

Ampon Alaga Ampon Alaga is the rescue and adoption project of PETA Asia based in Metro Manila, Philippines. Why is adopting the kinder choice? You are saving a life.

There is a massive overpopulation of dogs and cats, and many spend their lives on the streets struggling to survive. Hundreds more are euthanized every month at municipal pounds. This isn't the fault of the pound workers - it's a simple math equation. There are far too many animals, and too few homes to take them in. But you can help change that! When you buy from a breeder, you are supporting a business that exploits animals for profit. For every puppy or kitten bought, there’s one less home for an animal in a shelter. The best day of any rescued animal's life is when they’re adopted. You can be a part of that special day and give an animal the best life possible—what could be better than that? Please make the kinder choice - adopt, don't shop.

This snake was simply looking for a safe place to shelter after the floods. Thankfully, the family chose kindness and gave this animal a chance to return home ❤️🐍
