A big thank you to Barnabas Aid - International for their generous donation of assistive devices, helping improve the lives of people with disabilities in our community.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Rotary Club of Port Moresby for coordinating the shipment and Ruswin Integrated Solutions for providing transport support.

PAU Students Wrap Up Practicum

Seven students from Pacific Adventist University (PAU) have completed a 3-week practicum placement with our Inclusive Education Resource Centre.

A short farewell program was held today to mark the end of their placement, during which our students presented gifts to the PAU practicum students as a token of thanks for their time with us.

As part of the program, the PAU students officially cut the ribbon for a new sink project they completed which was prayed over and dedicated by Pastor Salvator.

We thank PAU for the partnership and wish the students well as they continue their studies.

Our residents had an amazing time watching a rugby game at Santos National Football Stadium. For most of them, it was their first time experiencing the excitement of a match from the stands, making it a truly memorable day.

Inclusion matters. Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of sport.

A huge thank you to the Sir Brian Bell Foundation for donating Trukai Fun Run shirts! With the Fun Run happening this Sunday, the timing couldn't be better.

The shirts have already been shared with our staff, residents, teachers, and our Inclusive Resource Centre students — everyone's excited for race day!

Soma, one of our residents, gave her usual heartfelt "Thank you so much!" that she loves sharing with everyone.

Empowering Our Young Voice Members Through Technology! 💻

Today our Young Voice members had their very first IT training — what an exciting milestone! 🙌

We were excited to have Nigel Maluge, lecturer from the International Computer College (ICC), share his expertise with our young people, introducing them to the basics of IT and opening up a world of new possibilities.

At Cheshire, we are committed to upskilling and empowering our community, and today was a beautiful example of that in action. 💛

🏏✨ Bringing Cricket to Everyone at Cheshire Disability Services! ✨🏏

The Cricket Papua New Guinea Game Development team recently came over for a fun and inclusive table cricket session right here at Cheshire Disability Services in Port Moresby.

The session kicked off with a hands-on introduction to table cricket, where the team demonstrated the rules and techniques of batting, bowling, fielding, and scoring. Our students, residents, young Voice members and staff quickly got involved, enjoying a lively practice match filled with teamwork, laughter, and learning.

One of the most special moments was seeing visually impaired participants take part using cricket balls fitted with bells—ensuring that everyone could fully experience the joy of the game. 💛

We are also incredibly grateful to Cricket PNG for providing new equipment to support ongoing participation, including table cricket sets, ramps, bats, and specially designed balls.

These resources will help us continue building an inclusive sporting environment for our community.

It was a day filled with smiles, excitement, and shared achievement, and we look forward to many more moments like this as we continue promoting inclusion through sport.

🌿✨ A memorable evening at the Nature Park Gala✨🌿

Our Cheshire family recently had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Bio-luminous Ball Charity Gala Dinner hosted by Nature Park at the Hilton Hotel—and what an amazing experience it was!

The evening was dedicated to supporting Nature Park’s ongoing efforts in conservation, education, and preserving wildlife for future generations. Our residents truly enjoyed a night filled with elegance, fun, and great company. 💃

A special thank you to Mereani Masani for going above and beyond in preparing our female residents for the evening. From carefully choosing outfits to helping the ladies with make-up, she made sure everyone felt confident beautiful ad ready to enjoy the night. We truly appreciate your effort and care.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Nature Park for inviting us and for creating such a memorable experience. Their continued support for Cheshire Disability Services means so much, especially during our fun outings to the park. 🌳
