This week’s Transformation Table session focused on the value of Adding Value, a reminder that leadership begins with how we see and treat others.

Hosted at Motor Vehicles Insurance Limited in Port Moresby, participants reflected on the importance of choosing encouragement over judgment and recognizing the strengths in people, even when imperfections are visible.

The discussion emphasized that adding value is about having a good heart, uplifting others, and creating environments where people feel seen, respected, and supported. Through meaningful conversations, attendees were challenged to intentionally speak life into others and become leaders who inspire growth through empathy and positivity.

We feature Henrick Ah-Wong as our Facilitator of the Week 🙌

If you are considering becoming a Facilitator under Senisim PNG and the Maxwell Leadership Foundation, the investment is voluntary but the growth is not optional. đŸŒ±

Our partnership between the PNG Tribal Foundation and the John Maxwell Leadership Foundation is pioneering a values-based, evidence-driven collaborative approach to transformation.

Our work focuses on developing individuals into leaders who value people. In turn, these leaders go on to positively transform their spheres of influence families, communities, workplaces, and beyond.

This journey is more than facilitation; it is transformation, discipline, and leadership development in action.

Transformation begins when one person chooses to lead with purpose and create space for growth.

Today, we celebrate Shirley Wangikia for her commitment and dedication in facilitating Transformation Table sessions at Papua New Guinea University of Technology. Through meaningful discussions and value-based learning, she is empowering students to grow in leadership, character, and personal development.

Goroka Technical College, Team KUMUL UNITED gathered for a powerful session centered on the value of Humility, facilitated by Dalton Johna.

The session emphasized a simple yet profound truth: when individuals position themselves as judges, they limit their ability to truly understand others. In contrast, choosing to become learners opens the door to deeper connection, empathy, and growth.

Participants were encouraged to be intentional in listening, recognizing that humility is not weakness, but strength demonstrated through openness and a willingness to learn from others.

On the month of April, two student groups at University of Natural Resources and Environment (UNRE) campus embark on doing their Transformation Table session. The students reflected on how hope fuels positivity and resilience, even when circumstances feel overwhelming.

Through this open discussion, students shared how shifting mindset and embracing growth can lead them toward purpose and direction and that Faith also played a central role, with reflections on trusting in God’s plan.

This National Movement continues to demonstrate the impact of values-based leadership in shaping self-aware and purpose-driven youth.

Special appreciation to Dianne Maiaial volunteer Facilitator for her continued support in the province.

The group at ATS - Second Block centered their discussion on the value of humility. Humility is understanding oneself deeply and having the courage to acknowledge both strengths and shortcomings. True humility allows us to grow, to accept correction, and to move from wrong to right with integrity.

During the discussion, they were reminded that humility is not weakness, it is a strength that shapes character, builds respect, and fosters meaningful relationships within our teams and communities.

Individuals are taking ownership to make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. Through humility, we continue to strengthen our commitment to meaningful community impact.

At Tribal Foundation, we don’t just speak about values—we live them through action.

Our Staff Transformation Table focused on empathy, and we were inspired by the powerful example of GT Bustin. His leadership reflected genuine care, humility, and a deep commitment to understanding others, not just in words, but through consistent action.

He created a space where people felt seen, heard, and valued, reminding us that true empathy is about meeting people where they are and engaging with sincerity.

This is what defines us at Tribal Foundation:
We speak. We act. We lead with purpose. Gary’s example continues to challenge and inspire us all to embody empathy in our daily work and leadership.

We welcome the next cohort of Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETAs) to Papua New Guinea! Kyle Aloof and Jasmine Villavicencio to begin their journey of service and learning. Tribal Foundation host them and share the stories of the work we do and the impact we have made over the years across communities in Papua New Guinea.

Through this experience, Kyle and Jasmine will gain deeper insight into our people, our challenges, and the transformative power of values-based education and community-driven development. They will also have the opportunity to engage with our programs and connect with young leaders.

At Tribal Foundation, we believe that meaningful exchange goes beyond the classroom, it is about relationships, stories, and lasting impact. Welcome to the Tribal Foundation family, Kyle and Jasmine!
