Day 4 | 23/04/2026

Day 4 of the Young Women Leadership Training.

We had an engaging session with the team from the IFES - International Foundation for Electoral Systems, a global organization that supports credible, inclusive, and transparent electoral processes, while strengthening democratic institutions and promoting citizen participation around the world.

We gained deeper insights into action planning, individual leadership, and advocacy planning. I learned how to turn ideas into practical steps, set clear and achievable goals, and remain intentional in my leadership journey. The sessions emphasized understanding key issues, identifying our purpose, and developing strategic approaches to advocate effectively.

It also highlighted the importance of self-awareness in leadership, recognising our strengths, values, and the impact we want to create while confidently using our voices to influence positive change in our communities.

Today’s learning continues to reshape my perspective, reminding me that effective leadership requires both vision and action.

Grateful for another empowering day of growth, learning, and connection with inspiring young women leaders.

Day 3 | 22/04/2026

Day 3 of the Young Women Leadership Training focused on a critical life skill, financial literacy.

We were privileged to have Ruth Landi and the team from Women's Micro Bank(Mama bank) lead an engaging and practical session. The discussions centered around savings, understanding income, tracking expenses, and creating a budget, all essential tools for personal and professional growth.

This session highlighted how important it is to take control of our finances. Learning how to properly track income and expenses allows us to make informed decisions, avoid unnecessary debt, and build a stable financial future. Budgeting teaches discipline and planning, while consistent saving creates security and opens opportunities for growth and investment.

As leaders, financial literacy is not just about managing money,it’s about making responsible decisions, being accountable, and creating sustainable pathways for ourselves and our communities.

This session has strengthened my understanding that true empowerment also comes from financial independence and wise financial management.

Day 2 | 21/04/2026

Day 2 of the Young Women Leadership Training has been both insightful and transformative, a day of grasping vast knowledge to enhance my capacity as an emerging leader.

Today’s sessions allowed us to dive deeper into strategic planning, understanding how to set clear visions and align actions with purpose. In project management, monitoring & evaluation, I learned the importance of tracking progress, measuring impact, and ensuring accountability in every initiative.

Our digital literacy session broadened my understanding of digitalisation, digitisation, and digital transformation, reminding me that effective leadership today requires adaptability in an increasingly digital world.

We also strengthened our skills in communication, public speaking, and media engagement, learning how to confidently express ideas and represent our voices with clarity and purpose.

Not only did the presenters deliver powerful and informative sessions, but hearing other women share their experiences also taught me valuable, practical skills I can adapt and apply in my own leadership journey.

Through these presentations and shared stories, I am realigning my perspective on what it truly means to be an effective leader, one who is intentional, adaptable, informed, and impactful.

Grateful to be in a space that continues to inspire growth and empower young women leaders.

This week, I have the privilege of attending a 5-day Young Women’s Leadership Training facilitated by UN Women Papua New Guinea

Today marked Day 1 of an empowering journey, an opportunity made possible through the recommendation of the PNG Young Professional Women Network. Being surrounded by diverse, passionate women leaders has already been a powerful and inspiring experience.

We explored key areas of leadership, including:
• Understanding different leadership styles
• Governance and decision-making
• Confidence building and public speaking
• Civic engagement and advocacy rights

Each session was thoughtfully delivered, offering fresh perspectives and deep insights into what it truly means to lead with purpose and impact. The facilitators brought knowledge that challenged my thinking and encouraged growth.

I’m stepping into Day 2 with a renewed sense of purpose, ready to learn, grow, and continue building the leader I aspire to become.✨

I was truly honoured to attend and serve as a panel speaker at the PNG Young Professional Women Network interactive event on 12/04/2026, centered around the powerful theme “Wear Your Crown.”

It was a meaningful opportunity for me to share my personal journey and reflect on what it truly means to recognize, embrace, and uphold the responsibilities that come with our individual crowns. In doing so, I was equally privileged to listen to our key speakers, Hon Rufina Peter Governor and Ms. Sophia Warep, whose insights on identifying our crowns, confidently wearing them, and protecting them with integrity and purpose were both powerful and inspiring.

Surrounded by such excellence, I extend my heartfelt acknowledgement to my sister Provincial and District Queens, Miss Manui - East Sepik Pageant Hiri Hanenamo 2025 Miss Goilala - Miss Bird of Paradise Central Province Pageant 2025 Miss Ambunti Drekikir - Miss East Sepik Beauty in Leadership Pageant & Miss Ihu 2025-2026. Your presence, strength, and unity continue to inspire me and so many other young women to rise and lead with purpose.

In the same spirit of gratitude, I offer a very special acknowledgement to the Founder and Director of PNG YPWN, Miss Bird of Paradise-Angoram. Your vision is truly remarkable, paving the way for young women and men to be part of a network with influential impact. I am deeply honoured to be part of this growing movement.

The evening was a true reflection of empowerment, further enriched by the grace and presence of our queens and the powerful conversations shared. Thank you Kepa Visuals for beautifully capturing these significant moments, preserving the essence of unity and women empowerment.

Together, we continue to rise, lead, and wear our crowns with purpose.

Last night, I had the distinct honor alongside my sister queens to attend a remarkable event hosted by the Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority a gathering that beautifully celebrated excellence, purpose, and national pride.

A highlight of the evening was the address delivered by our Patron, the Hon. Belden Namah, as a key speaker. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of empowering young women, preserving our cultural identity, and strengthening tourism as a pathway for national development.

The evening was dedicated to commemorating the remarkable achievements of our reigning queen. Her journey, impact, and unwavering commitment to service continue to inspire not only Central Province, but the nation at large. It was a proud moment witnessing her legacy being honored on such a distinguished platform.

The event also marked a significant milestone with the official launch of TPA’s support to Miss Bird of Paradise Papua New Guinea across all 22 provinces, an initiative that speaks volumes about empowering voices, promoting culture, and strengthening the role of young women as ambassadors of tourism and change throughout Papua New Guinea.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring occasion that continues to shape the future of pageantry, leadership, and cultural advocacy.

As 2025 last remaining hours slowing counts down, I breathe in gratitude. 🌙✨

This year met me where I was and patiently taught me who I could become. I’m thankful for every journey taken, every lesson wrapped in grace, and every moment that shaped my spirit. 2025 unfolded in divine timing, and for that, my heart is full.
Through my walk as Miss Central Province, I was blessed to sit among brilliant minds, creative spirits, and powerful PNG women whose wisdom shifted my perception and deepened my faith in purpose-led leadership. Their presence reminded me that when women rise with humility and strength, they lift nations. 🤍
I learned that growth is sacred, found in places visited, stories shared, silence honoured, and courage tested. Every experience refined me, strengthened my compassion, and anchored me deeper in service.
This year reaffirmed my belief in Central Province. Our land carries abundance, our culture carries truth, and our children carry destiny. 🌱

I believe our young people are ready, ready to learn, ready to work, and ready to give back when guided with love and opportunity. Their light is already present; it simply needs room to shine.
As I close this chapter, I welcome 2026 with an open heart and steady faith ✨ready to serve deeper, give more, and return every lesson back to my people. I step forward grounded in gratitude, carrying knowledge not for myself alone, but for the betterment of my province.

Thank you, 2025, for the becoming.
For the lessons written in grace.
For the quiet strength.

Hello 2026, I’m ready. 🌅💛

With faith, gratitude, and love,
