It was a privilege for the Executive Members of GOPIO Wellington Chapter to meet with H.E. Ms. Muanpuii Saiawi, High Commissioner of India.

The meeting was highly productive, centred around strengthening multicultural collaboration across New Zealand, promoting Indian festivals and languages, preserving the richness of our cultural heritage for future generations, and fostering deeper collaboration with local community groups while embracing and engaging with New Zealand’s diverse cultural landscape.

This engagement marks a significant step forward for GOPIO Wellington as we explored opportunities to work closely with the High Commission of India to bring together the wider Indian diaspora - building unity, connection, and a shared sense of purpose across communities.

Together, we look forward to creating more inclusive platforms that celebrate our diversity while strengthening our collective identity.

India–NZ FTA: Unlocking New Pathways for Business. High Commission of India in New Zealand is hosting an evening of high-level dialogue on the opportunities arising from the India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.
The event will feature a Fireside Conversation with Hon. Todd McClay, Minister for Trade and Investment, and Ms Neeta Bhushan, High Commissioner of India to New Zealand, moderated by Felicity Roxburgh (NZIBF), followed by a panel discussion and networking dinner.
