A big step forward for professional recognition at Survey and Spatial NZ!

We’re introducing two important changes from 1 July 2026, designed to make career pathways clearer and strengthen recognition across our profession:

• A modernised membership framework
• An expanded Certified Professional pathway, including a new Certified
Professional Cadastral Surveyor option.

These changes are about making it easier to see where you’re heading, and giving those who want it, a clear pathway to advanced recognition.

A big thank you to everyone who has shared their feedback with us - we value that ongoing engagement. It’s how we 'Measure success together'.
