Keep an eye out for the cutest little carrot & pea at the Kōwhai Festival this Saturday! 🥕🫛

Come say hi at our stand, spin the wheel and go in the draw to win a reusable bundle! We’ll be talking food scraps bins, how to use them properly, and of course, talking rubbish!

We’re so excited!
See you next Saturday!

We had SO much fun at our DIY Halloween workshop today!

Turning fabric scraps, toilet rolls and old shirts into spooky creations was such a hit!
The best part was definitely seeing the kids so excited about keeping things out of landfill, and having some lovely chats with the parents too.

What a turnout at Wellsford Library yesterday! 🥰
23 kids + 12 adults joined Jerusha for a chat about rubbish, recycling and why getting it right helps stop our limited landfills filling up too quickly. ♻️
So many great questions and curious little minds! 💚
Big thanks to Wellsford Library for collaborating with us and making it happen!

🎃 Parents, the school holidays are nearly over! 👻

If you’re wondering what to do with the kids for the last few days, come and get spooky with us this Saturday! 🕷️🧡

We’re having a FREE DIY Halloween session where the kids can get creative and make something spooky, without needing to buy a whole bunch of new stuff.

Let's be honest, Halloween can create A LOT of waste!
From costumes and decorations to all those little things that get used once and then end up in landfill 😬

So we’re flipping the script and showing the kids how much fun they can have reusing, repurposing and getting creative with what we already have ✨

Saturday 10th October

Last week was a busy one for us! 💚

We had some great chats with Warkworth School parents about what their kids have been learning about waste, and what they’re now taking home and teaching their families.

Rachel chatted with the Rebus ladies about waste and recycling, and they were so interested and engaged.

Then we headed along to Wellsford Kindergarten’s Ag Day with a bin-sorting station and a quick recycling quiz for the adults. There were heaps of people keen to have a go!

We love getting out into the community, having a chat and learning together 💚

Yesterday’s visible mending workshop was so much fun! 🧵 Such a lovely morning filled with good chats about fast fashion, clothing waste and how we can keep our favourite clothes going for longer with a bit of creative mending.
There’s something pretty special about giving an old favourite a new lease on life, don’t you think? 💚
Want to give it a go? Our next workshop is on 14 November! Head to our website to grab your tickets through Humanitix. We’d love to see you there! ✨
