SPRING TIME, is a good opportunity to shake off Winter and reset to finish the year with personal success.

If you have been wanting to speak up, practise a story or speech, market yourself or just boost your skills in body language, eye contact, projection and confidence, then come along.

Tonight 6:45pm for a 7pm start, at Warkworth Bowls. Half time, we'll have Supper and finish at 8:30pm. All are welcome!

Our next meeting is THIS Monday, the 24th, at Warkworth Bowls. Join us at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.

Because we have some Members away, we are mixing things up a bit and instead of Speeches, we'll have an evening of "Speaking Games". Half time we'll have Supper and finish by 830pm.

See you tomorrow night at 6:45pm for a 7pm start, at Warkworth Bowls.

Overcome fears, change habits, practise speaking, enjoy Community, humour and common sense, be around all different people and see what Toastmasters is all about.

Our next meeting, coming up on Monday 27th July, we have a newbie delivering their ICEBREAKER speech.

We all know the stats on public speaking fears, but we also know breaking through the ice, makes it easier for next time.

You can visit as a guest a few times to observe, also participate in our short Table Topics and then later work on your first 5-7 minute speech. We will encourage, support, guide and give constructive and positive feedback.

Come along at 6:45pm for a 7pm start at Warkworth Bowls. Easy parking and access friendly, supper included and finishes at 8:30pm. Heaters will be on and all welcome.

Last meeting was fabulous as always; engaging, fun, interesting and revealing.

What happened?

Two lovely Guests returned for a visit, including a Scotsman and an ex Professional footballer.

Our theme of the night, from a designated Toastmaster was "Life is Interesting". He had recently returned from fishing for Kingies.

The Word of the Night, to be used by all was "abundance" and later our Grammarian reported noone used "filler words".

We had 3 brilliant Speeches.

1) Forests - growing up around them to now appreciating the "wood wide web". If you're not familiar with this, check it out.

2) Weighing up visiting a hometown in Sth Africa - hearing about hijack zones from last visit to missing the wildlife.

3) The joys of being a Grandmother - sharing in the delights of grandchildren.

Table Topics: such as -
- the dislikes of eating mutton birds, gooey-duck and black pudding.
- putting on a duvet cover the easy way and presented in the most entertaining way.
- cooking as a younger flatmate to now as a Husband.

Then we had a hot drink and cookies, followed by everyone receiving an evaluation. Some of us learnt that our tone and speed was good, but that we need to practise projection more. A few of us need to be more succinct, after hearing the Timekeeper's report and our General Evaluator acknowledged giving encouragement and healthy, balanced feedback.

Finished at 830pm and we'll be back Monday 27th July at Warkworth Bowls, 6:45pm for a 7pm start. All welcome.

Monday 13th July, 6:45pm for a 7pm start, come join us and see what each of the below will be about!

Where? Warkworth Bowls, behind Woolworths, plenty of easy parking, plus comfortable and warm facilities. We will also have Supper after the Speeches and before our evaluation time.

All are welcome. You can just show up if you like. We will finsh 830pm-845pm.

Up to you, if you participate with our Table Topic section or you just observe. We are from all walks of life, varying ages, equal gender mix and different cultures and beliefs.

Our Club has very experienced Members and newbies too. People join for different reasons, i.e confidence, Community engagement, second language practise, professional development, fun or an upcoming speaking event.

Your local Toastmasters Club here in Warkworth, loves supporting our very own Mahurangi Winter Festival of Lights, every year.

Food stalls, children's rides, laser show, community float parade, local bands, all sorts of fun activities for Youth, families and individuals. Dress up bright!

It's been a hot minute, but I'm back and loving our LOCAL Toastmaster's Club once again.

Here's some meme's to ponder on any fears you may have on speaking in front of others.

But the best step you can take, is pop along to our next meeting, held at Warkworth Bowls. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, at 6:45pm for a 7pm start.

You will find various, friendly people from all walks of life, some new Toastmasters and some very experienced.

Supper is included and we finish by 8:45pm.

Well end of an era for me.

After a good five years running this page, I am now bowing out & focussing on different priorities in my life.

Started with 126 followers and now there's 586 of you.

Thank you to my personal friends & others for your support of Warkworth Toastmasters. You have helped bring new visitors & Members to our Club.

Here's to being confident in the days to come, may they be worthy, free & spoken from the heart.
