Kia ora folks,

I'm on Run Director duties this week, and we're just 2 essential roles away from being able to stage our parkrun this coming Saturday. We still need:

⌚️ Timekeeper
🏁 Finish Tokens

It's great that so many of us have put our hands up so far - thanks so much! Please let me know if you're available to do any of the final 2 tasks.

Jeremy 🙂

Hi Warkworth Community, if you have been at the Showgrounds on a Saturday morning lately you may have noticed that Warkworth now has its very own parkrun! What is parkrun? Parkrun is a worldwide phenomenon! It's a fun, timed 5km course that sets off at 8am every Saturday. It's not just for runners - we welcome walkers, joggers, runners, spectators and volunteers! It's family and dog friendly (kids under 11 must be in reach of an adult, dogs must be on a short hand held lead). We are conscious that we share the track and we ask our participants to be mindful of and courteous to other Showground users but it can get a bit congested around the 8am start time - if you are walking or running at this time why not join us! Parkrun is 100% run by volunteers and we would love more people to join us to help make Warkworth parkrun successful. (Ideally we would have enough people so that we each only need to volunteer once every couple of months). Volunteering is super fun and very easy! Come along on any Saturday to see what all the fuss is about. Register first via the website to get your barcode so you get your result (it's free and easy). For more information please see: FB https://www.facebook.com/warkworthshowgroundsparkrun Web https://www.parkrun.co.nz/warkworthshowgrounds/ Email [email protected]

A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am in Warkworth. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.
