Cadets from TS Royalist, 15 Squadron ATC and TimCU attended a combined shoot today. Great to see marksmanship skills improve during the day, by the conclusion everyone was chuffed with their results. Good coaching aways pays off in helping cadets grow their skill base. BZ everyone. We acknowledge the Seadown Shooting Complex for allowing us to use their excellent facility, thank you.

Great to see a badge on the right sleeve of our cadets, it looks perfect! Want to be part of this leading youth organisation? Contact us for more information.

ANZAC Day in South Canterbury saw cadets travel to Waimate, Geraldine & Rangitata Island to be part of Services , as well as locally in Timaru for the Dawn & Civic Services, actively involved in commemoration services in the early morning and during the day.

This was the first ANZAC Day for us since receiving our Training Ship name and we had a wreath to commemorate Royal New Zealand Naval personnel who served in operations during the 1950's & 60's. In particular the crew of HMNZS Royalist in 1957 during the Malayan Emergency.

The weather was kind and the public attendance was very satisfying. The local cadets fulfilled their public duties with pride and dedication, BZ to you all.

We attended the Southern Area Regatta over the weekend. TS Talisman and ourselves entered as a combined team and the cadets had a ball! Great experience for us and Talisman, always fun working with cadets from another unit. Our combined team placed 2nd in the competition, with TS Neptune 3rd and TS Godley 1st, BZ to all competitors and staff for a great event.

We will post more about the regatta in the coming days. We want the local young people to experience Cadets Forces and see what it can offer you.

Join us so you can be part of our team next year, it's great fun!

Good luck to TS Godley as they prepare for the National Skills Competition, Southern Area wishes you all the best.
