Wow! Check out the amazing art created by some of our talented Ashburton young people 🎨.

Yesterday there was a gathering of whānau and friends to come and have a look at the art that had been created. Giving others the opportunity to uplift the voices of these young people and see the world through their eyes.

Good mahi to everyone involved πŸ‘

πŸ† Youth Week has kicked off in style!

Today we brought together our Timaru and Ashburton students for a friendly showdown and what a battle it was!

Ashburton came out swinging, taking the win in Volleyball 🏐. But Timaru wasn't done yet, claiming victory in both Basketball πŸ€ and Tug of War πŸ’ͺ, taking the overall trophy home!

What an amazing way to start Youth Week great competition, great spirit, and some serious talent on display.

Until next time! πŸ‘€

"The Y feels like a safe space," and that's exactly what we aim to be.

Isaac came to us after hearing good things from people he knew who also went to the Y, and he's found a place where students are supported, able to build good relationships with teachers, and where learners are trusted with the freedom (and responsibility) to grow.

We're so proud to be part of Isaac's journey. πŸ™Œ

Awesome pathways in action! πŸ’ͺ

Last week we welcomed Christine Isherwood from LSV who visited and shared valuable insights with our taiohi β€” with three currently applying for LSV, including two from our NEET Youth Service.

We also welcomed Staff Sergeant Tony Hannagan, Senior Regional Recruiter for the Defence Services. Tony met with taiohi from our education programmes, NEET Youth Service, and Employment Pathways clients.

Tony was inspirational, speaking to everyone with enthusiasm, pride, and wit. Several taiohi are now keen to join the Army after completing LSV, while others are applying for LSV with hopes of stepping into the Defence Forces next.
