If you are pregnant and plan to breastfeed your baby, you'll want the information and encouragement that La Leche League can provide. If
you are already breastfeeding, the tips, techniques and support you will receive from our trained Leaders and other mothers is invaluable. Would you like to meet other breastfeeding mothers for support and to share experiences in a place where babies and their older siblings are welcome? La Leche League Timaru holds monthly discussions where mothers can get information and support, borrow books and meet others. A wide range of breastfeeding and parenting topics are discussed, including why breastfeed, looking after a new baby, overcoming breastfeeding difficulties, nutrition and weaning. The discussion topics are flexible depending on the needs of those present. We can discuss any other breastfeeding issues and answer your specific breastfeeding questions.
