Meet some of the incredible team at Ophel Medical Centre in Burkina Faso đź©·

Every day, this team provides vital healthcare for their community, with more than 35,000 patients coming through the medical centre each year.

Right now, we’re raising funds to equip them with a biochemistry analyser - allowing many essential blood tests to be completed on-site.

Having a biochemistry analyser on-site will mean patients can receive their test results much sooner, allowing doctors to make informed decisions and begin treatment faster. For patients who are seriously unwell, that time can be life-saving.

Currently, patients requiring these tests must travel around 15km to get the results. For someone who is already unwell, that extra journey can create another barrier to receiving timely care and delay essential treatment.

The ArkQuest Walk is back for 2026!

Join us on Saturday 17 October for a fun, family-friendly walk or run along the Mount Maunganui boardwalk and Pilot Bay waterfront - all while raising funds for the ArkQuest Education Centre in Kenya.

In Kenya, 11.7 million children lack access to three or more essential services, including nutritious food and education. ArkQuest began as a feeding programme for just eight children and has grown into a school providing more than 100 children with quality education and nutritious meals.

This year, we’re aiming to raise $10,000 towards the ongoing costs of running the school - and we’d love you to be part of it!

When: Saturday 17 October | 9am
Where: Starting opposite Tay Street, Mount Maunganui
What: 8km walk or run + a 10km option for those feeling extra keen!

Adults $25 | Children $15 | Families $50

Grab your family, friends or workmates and get a team together!

We’ll have fundraising prizes, spot prizes and refreshments on the day, so come along and make a morning of it.

PRAY for the victims and those affected by the Nepal flash floods, that God would comfort them as they navigate unimaginable loss and devastation.

PRAY for the global International Needs offices as they work diligently to transform lives and change communities in their nation.

Devastating flash floods have swept through northern and central Nepal, leaving families displaced and communities cut off by damaged roads and bridges.

Our International Needs Nepal team has activated its emergency response and is working alongside fellow agencies and community workers to provide urgent relief to affected families.

They will be distributing Family Relief Packs, containing essential food and practical supplies such as rice, lentils, oil, energy biscuits, tarpaulins, blankets, sleeping mats and basic kitchen supplies.

The cost of providing one Family Relief Pack is NZ$100.

If you’re not able to give the full amount, any contribution will help provide urgent support to families in need.

Please join us in praying for Nepal - for those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods, for communities still waiting for help, and for the teams working to reach those most in need.

It certainly is a time for celebration at INNZ 🎉

Last week we had plenty of reasons to celebrate - moving into our new building, celebrating a big birthday milestone for Bev & welcoming some board members for a visit!

This definitely doesn’t happen everyday - but is so fun to take the opportunity celebrate these moments as a team. It sure was a joyful time full of laughter and lots of flamingos thanks to Bev’s iconic photo 🦩📸

“This improvement gives me more motivation in my work, because we can now provide more dignified and safer care for mothers and newborns.”

In 2025, the dedicated team at Ophel Medical Centre in Burkina Faso safely delivered over 1,200 babies.

But they were doing so with tools that were old, heavily worn and, in some cases, rusted.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, in May of this year we were able to help provide 28 new pieces of maternity equipment, replacing around 90% of the worn equipment. New privacy screens are also giving women greater privacy and dignity during their care.

A practical change making a real difference for mothers, newborns and the team caring for them đź©·
