Just thought I,d let you know that the WBP will be part of the Amberly repair cafe to be held again on 17 October from 1pm till 4pm at the tin shed in the Amberley domain.
We will be repairing bikes but there are a few other groups doing all sorts of repairs eg electrical appliances .

Hi everyone ,nor a good start weatherwise for the school holidays and for biking.
The WBP volunteers will b taking a break for the next 2 wednesday night sessions but will be back the week the kids get back to school.

The WBP (Waimakariri Bike Project) is looking to provide a short course on general bike maintenance over the upcoming school holidays.
The course would be aimed at school age people and provide advice and some practical experience of looking after their own bikes.
The course would be for 3 hours on one day weekday of the holidays probably 9am till 12.

At this stage I would like to get some idea of the numbers of school age people interested in this proposal.

Hi all just wondering if the person who borrowed the 3 wheel drift bike last night at our Waimak Bike Project could return it as it was promised to someone else.

Holidays over we,re back this week 6 to 8pm for all your 2 wheel needs.
We have a good selection of road bikes for those wanting a local transport option and save some fuel too. Theres also a good selection of kids bikes available including one wooden balance bike.
Remember we do not charge for the services we provide and our bikes are given free to anyone needing a bike.
If you would like to show your appreciation for what we do then donations are welcome as they help with the cost of spare parts which cannot be recycled from bikes we use for parts.
Our motto is ride it forward which means we reduce the number of bikes filling the rubbish sites by restoring those that can be and using as many parts as possible on those that can,t eg those too rusty or badly damaged and giving the restored bikes away.
Come and see us and set yourself and your family up for some good healthy fun on 2 wheels.

Hi everyone the Waimak bike project volunteers will be at the Dudley pavillion today from 9 till 12 to give you a chance to pickup a bike for you and your family to enjoy before the end of the school holidays.
These bikes have been restored to good working condition and are given freely to anyone needing one .
We have many road bikes suitable foe doing those messages around town and some kids bikes to give away.

Hi everyone from the WBP.
Hope your all enjoying a wonderful Easter break and 2 weeks off school for the kids. A great time to get out on your bikes with your families and enjoy
a slower pace of life for awhile.
With the current fuel prices at the pumps this makes it even more sense to dig out the bikes and save some fuel costs.
If your needing a bike ,leave a message and we may be able to help.
Note tho that our volunteers are taking a break for the holiday period and so our wed night sessions are on holiday too.
