Hunters4Hope have had a pretty big couple of days.
We delivered over 2000kg of venison mince to Hope Community Trust on Thurs then Adam and Steve headed to Wanaka.
We completed the Mental Hunts 101 seminar, getting a better understanding of current legislation around mainitaining your mental wellbeing without necessarily putting your Fi****ms license at risk, and how to help others navigate this minefield. Highly recommend.
We stopped past Venator New Zealand to say thanks to Duncan and the team for their very generous donation they made earlier this year, through our good mates The Origins Foundation.
Venator New Zealand, have now got on board to start donating the venison from their clients Trophy deer to Hunters4Hope. Welcome aboard.
While we were going past we picked up some venison from other outfitters along the way, thanks to Monarch New Zealand , High Peak Hunting New Zealand and Glen Dene Hunting & Fishing, New Zealand , Lochinvar Safaris New Zealand, Brad Travers , New Zealand Safaris, and Real Kiwi Hunting Outfitters .
Special mention to Ethan and the team at High Country Earthworks at Fairlie, for allowing Hunters4Hope to have a storage freezer in their yard, that the local outfitters use to store the donated venison waiting for our crew to come and pick up.
All in all a pretty busy couple of days, but well worth the trip.
We made some new friends, caught up with some old ones, learnt some very valuable lessons in helping other licence holders manage mental health, along with bringing back over 2500kg of donated venison from our New Zealand Professional Hunting Guides Association mates.
