Good morning Pāpāmoa & Friends 💛

Yes, the sky might be looking a little grey this morning, but don't let that fool you. The market is on, our amazing stallholders are here, and we're all tucked in nice and dry under shelter.

In fact, days like this are some of my favourites. Fresh coffee in hand, a warm pie, a slow wander through the stalls, and a chance to catch up with the people who make our community so special.

Today you'll find amazing arts and crafts, balms, soaps, essential oils, freeze dried candy, dog treats, fresh produce, free range eggs, raw honey, incredible bakers, talented artisans, beautiful handmade products, delicious food from around the world, divine gelato, flowers, preserves, and so much more.

We're also excited to welcome The Little Paua for their first market, bringing their famous paua pies, hāngī pies, paua and chips, and other Kiwi favourites.

So grab a jacket and come and spend a couple of hours supporting local families and local businesses. We promise it's worth leaving the couch for.

Sometimes people think a market is just about selling things. But what I wish more people could see is what happens behind the tables 💛

Andy, our Ginger Beard Man, is a baker himself… yet he is always the first to support another baker, encourage a new stallholder, share advice, taste someone’s new biscuit and genuinely celebrate other people doing well. That old school way of supporting each other is something really special.

Then you have beautiful little stories happening all across the market every single week.

Bailey’s Creations has just created gorgeous persimmon soaps using real persimmons from Frenchs Farm 🍊 Imagine that… local fruit grown by one stallholder becoming handmade skincare created by another.

Jennifer’s soaps and balms are made using beeswax from our own Little Hands Honey bees 🐝

This is what community actually looks like.

Not competition.Connection.

People cheering each other on.Sharing ingredients.Sharing ideas.Sharing customers.Building together.

And honestly… I think that’s why our little market feels different.

Every stall has a story.Every product has hands, faces and families behind it.And every Sunday those stories somehow weave together into something much bigger than just a market.

So next time you walk through our market, just know you are not only buying a loaf of bread, honey, soap or veggies.

You are supporting an entire little ecosystem of local people backing each other ❤️

Another stunning Sunday and the market is on now at Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School ☀️💛

The weather is absolutely beautiful today and we have so much happening around the market grounds.

We’ve got the lovely Sunshine Girls here filling the market with beautiful tunes, face painting with Amy, the balloon guy is back keeping the little ones smiling, and Nikki is here today with her shell identification table followed later by her Marine Invaders card games which the kids absolutely love 🐚

We also have the GPs from the new local Palm Springs Medical Centre joining us today to chat about their new practice and offer complimentary blood pressure checks for anyone interested.

There are also some fantastic new stalls joining us today so make sure you have a little sneak peek through the photos 👀

And of course all the market favourites are here too:Spray free produce, free range eggs, raw honey, Nana Dunn’s famous pickled onions and delicious conserves, beautiful baking, coffee, gelato and foodies bringing flavours from around the world 🌎

Argentinian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, French crêpes, kiwi favourites and so much more.

Dog friendly, family friendly and plenty of space to relax while the kids play.

We are here until 1pm today at 72 Te Okuroa Drive, Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School 💛

5 years.

5 years of early mornings, muddy setups, crazy weather, laughs, stress, coffees, loyal customers, long Sundays and showing up week after week.

For many of you, Andy the Ginger Beard Man has simply always been part of the market. One of the originals. One of the familiar faces that helped shape the atmosphere and community people now know and love.

What many people may not realise is our stories grew side by side. From the very early days with only a handful of stalls, through all the changes, challenges, rebrands and growth over the years.

5 years is more than just selling products at a market. That is legacy. That is consistency. That is community.

As Andy prepares for his next chapter and future move to Taranaki later this year, it feels like the right time to acknowledge the people who helped build the foundations of this market from the early days.

Not just stallholders.Part of the story. Part of the family!

And for that, we are grateful 💛

Tomorrow at the Pāpāmoa Community Market we celebrate all the incredible mums, grandmothers, step mums, aunties, daughters and mother figures that make our community what it is ❤️

Over the years our market has become more than just a Sunday market. It has become a place where families grow up together, where daughters help their mums at stalls, where mums build businesses while raising children, where friendships are made and where community truly happens.

Tomorrow we want to celebrate YOU.

Bring mum out for a relaxed Sunday filled with local love, amazing food, coffee, sweet treats, shopping, fresh produce, handmade goods and beautiful people. Let the kids run free and play while mum takes a moment to slow down, sit in the sun and enjoy the atmosphere she deserves.

The weather is looking absolutely beautiful and honestly there is no better place to spend Mother’s Day morning than surrounded by community, music, laughter and local businesses built with heart.

To all our market mums and daughters, our stallholders, our customers and our beautiful community… thank you for helping us create something so special together.

From our market family to yours, Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

We are on today and it is an absolute beauty out here ☀️

The weather is amazing and the market is feeling full of life. We’ve got so many new stalls joining us this week, so have a look through the photos for a little sneak peek of what’s here.

We’ve got a fresh new barber on site, Wayne “Chase the Barber”, ready to get you sorted. The balloon guy is here keeping the kids smiling, and face painting with Amy is in full swing. Hair braiding is back too and looking so good.

There’s plenty of seating if you just want to relax, grab something delicious from our food trucks or treat yourself to something sweet. You’ll also find great local produce, beautiful local honey, and treats for your fur babies too. Yes, we are dog friendly as always 🐾

It’s one of those perfect market mornings. Come down, take your time, and enjoy it with us 💛
