Sustainable Papakura Sustainable Papakura works with the community to nurture and protect Papatuanuku.

We provide awareness information and Sustainable Living Skills workshops to re-imagine and remake lifestyles, that will support Mother Earth to sustain us into the future. Our monthly Sustainable Market - what started as a small local craft market run out of the Pahurehure shops has now expanded to include over on average 35 stalls and is run out of the foyer of Papakura Library and Papakura Museum, Great South Road, Papakura. The market is run by a community charity called Sustainable Papakura (formerly Rejuvenate Papakura ). It's our goal to help educate people on how to help save the environment through leading from example. The markets goal is to create a community hub where people can come to learn more about being sustainable / plastic free but also seeing what local talented artists and crafters we have on offer in the community. We like to support other community groups and organisations, the small way we do this is offering a space at each market to help groups with fundraising.

Join Lisa at the lovely hosts base Sustainable Papakura for a fun, hands-on Love Food Hate Waste workshop where kids discover how easy it is to grow their own food.
In this interactive session, kids will plant their own microgreens using recycled materials and take home a simple growing kit they can look after themselves. Because microgreens grow quickly, children can harvest and eat what theyโ€™ve grown, making this a rewarding and confidence-boosting activity that extends well beyond the workshop.
Spaces are limited, booking is essential.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 6โ€“12 years. Each child attending must have their own ticket and be accompanied by an adult. Accurate registration helps us prepare materials and manage activities safely.
This Love Food Hate Waste workshop is proudly supported by Auckland Council and delivered by Compost Collective.
