With our flash new fertiliser spreader, we needed some fertiliser to put into it.
We wish to extend a huge thank you to James at Ravensdown New Plymouth for all his help with getting us our top quality Fertiliser.
We have grass coming out our ponies ears!

For the second year in a row, we had a group of young men from New Plymouth Boys' High School come and offer us some mihi as part of their 'Something for Nothing' project.
Their timing was impeccable, as we are still cleaning up the bits of wood and pinecones from our weekend grazing paddocks from our fallen Grandpa Pine trees.
We were also able to utilize their muscles and tighten up the loose boundary fence wire.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported NPRDA today. We really appreciate what you have done.

The King would like you to know that due to his birthday celebrations tomorrow, the NPRDA ponies will all be busy, so there will be no rides tomorrow: Monday June 1st.
Romeo has decided that if it's good enough for Charles to celebrate his birthday on a day he wasn't born, it's good enough for him too!
Enjoy your Kings birthday everyone, see you all on Tuesday

The theme at the 2026 NZRDA conference was "A Stronger Future together"
I think this photo works really well describing this.
We have our rider Damion, who is supported by his Leader and sidewalker; his individualised goal based rides are supporting him to have a stronger future.
His pony Piper is supported by her Gold Horse sponsor Methanex NZ who generously support Piper's healthcare and food, so she can provide rides for her riders, both now, and in the future.
Our Lawnmower is generously supported by Mitre 10 New Zealand Mega, Waiwhakaiho, by Stuart Jones (Pictured), which allows our team to keep our grounds looking great - whilst having a whole heap of fun, and provides us with safe walking areas to ride in, both now, and in the future.
And in the background are our coaches and committee, who provide us with support to work towards successful outcomes for the future.

Please join us in congratulating our President Kevin for receiving the MNZM for services to the community and people with disabilities last week.
His official blog says "Mr Kevin Nielsen was the Chief Executive of Hospice Taranaki for 15 years, advocating tirelessly for increased funding for the Hospice. He played a key role in fundraising to build the in-patient Hospice facility and organised the opening of hospice shops in New Plymouth, Hawera and Stratford. As a Board member of Hospice New Zealand, he strove to ensure the long-term sustainability of hospice services nationally. He was involved with the Disability Working Group while serving on the Taranaki District Health Board. Mr Nielsen helped establish Enabling Good Lives Taranaki and Conductive Education Taranaki Trust and continues to serve as Chair of the New Plymouth Riding for the Disabled."
Kevin is also always quick to mention how much his wife Karin also gives to our New Plymouth community, so we also wish to say a big thank you to her as well. She certainly is a great long time supporter of NPRDA and many other community groups.

We recently purchased an Equilibrium Massage pad for our herd.
Our horses love it, they sleep through their massages, and we love the fact that we are actively helping keep them in top shape to continue to do their important work.
Some of our hard working humans might also enjoy it too....
A big Thank You to Gregory Equine Covers & Saddlery for their assistance with purchasing this.
