How do we grow resilient native forests for the future?

Tāne's Tree Trust is bringing people together for its Beyond the ‘Canopy’ – Rethinking How We Grow Native Forests conference, on 16–17 October in Nelson.

The two-day event will explore practical and innovative approaches to establishing and regenerating native forests, including transition forestry, assisted natural regeneration, seed islands and improved monitoring.

Day One features 10 speakers, a Q&A panel and networking, followed by a field trip on Day Two.

It’s a great opportunity for landowners, farmers, iwi and hapū representatives, community restoration leaders, foresters, ecologists, scientists and environmental professionals to learn, connect and be part of the conversation about the future of native forest restoration in Aotearoa.
