𝗕𝗖𝗔 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶-𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 - from a few keen locals protecting the Uretara estuary margins in 2004 to a significant restoration movement improving freshwater health and indigenous biodiversity across northern Tauranga Moana. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗱, what the five-year Jobs for Nature investment made possible, and what challenges lie ahead. (See below for details)

At the weekend 16 Member Groups of Bay Conservation Alliance came together to explore governance foundations - go you guys!

This is a new support program to help community conservation groups recognize their strengths, gaps and improvement opportunities. The aim is to strengthen and grow our ability as a collective to operate efficiently and comfortably in governance, with a license for a bit of fun along the way.

Real-Life Insect Zombies! 🧟‍♀️
Meet the real-life zombies of the insect world!
This cicada has been completely overtaken by a parasitic fungus called Beauveria, which creates the eerie white growth you see erupting through its shell. 😲😲
The fungus effectively hijacks the insect’s body to serve its own ends.
It turns the host into a vessel to spread fungal spores to every other unsuspecting insect in the vicinity.
What fun fact about Aotearoa's native species blows your mind?
