The Trust is a post-settlement governance entity that entered into a Deed of Settlement of Historical Claims with the Crown on 21 June 2012. In agreeing to the settlement it is acknowledged that the Trust is charged with the responsibility “to enhance the ongoing relationship between Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Ranginui and the Crown (in terms of the Treaty of Waitangi, its principles and otherwise)”. The pu

rposes for which the Settlement Trust was established are to receive, manage, distribute, administer and apply the Trust’s Assets on behalf of and for the benefit of the present and future Members of Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Ranginui. Rules of conduct

If you haven't enrolled to vote yet, kaua e āwangawanga (don’t worry), you can still vote with a special vote. First, enrol with the Electoral Commission here. Once you're enrolled, you can vote at one of the following special voting locations.
He Puna Manawa Service Centre, 21 Devonport Road:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5pm
(Wednesday: 9:00am to 5pm)
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am – 4pm
The Mount Hub, 9 Prince Avenue:
Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 4pm
The Pāpāmoa Community Centre:
Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 4pm
Greerton Library:
Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:30am to 4pm
There will be people operating these locations from Saturday, 29 June until Saturday, 20 July to awhi you through the pōti (voting) process. It takes less than five minutes to complete your declaration form about why you need a special vote. You can vote on site or take it away to vote later. Just remember to bring your driver’s licence, passport, or RealMe verified ID to get enrolled.
The last day to enrol and be eligible to vote in this election is Friday, 19 July 2024.
