A huge thank you to stall holders, past and present, and supporters who came to our monthly market at Te Whare Mahana, held in the (RSA carpark).
After 27 months and trying to get more stalls and foot traffic up, the decision has been made to finish.
Regular posting on social media and advertising was done to try and help the efforts of the volunteers, sadly this wasn’t enough.
Thanks again to you all who came, browsed, purchased, had a chat, a laugh and just connected socially it was a blast! 😁👍🏽

Now here’s a yum looking broccoli dish!!! 💚

Yes we got another Cauli this week, check out this very interesting and apparently very tasty fudge recipe using just two ingredients. Why wouldn’t you give this a go, go on I dare you! 😁🤞🏽👍🏽

🍫 2-Ingredient Cauliflower
Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

* 200 g cauliflower florets, cooked until extremely soft
* 200 g chocolate, chopped or chocolate chips
(dark chocolate gives the best fudge-like result; milk chocolate makes it sweeter)

Method

1. Steam the cauliflower until extremely soft — around 10–12 minutes.
2. Drain very thoroughly. Let it sit for a few minutes, then pat it dry. Excess water is the biggest reason this fudge can turn out too soft.
3. While the cauliflower is still warm, blend it until completely smooth.
4. Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave in 20–30 second bursts, stirring between each.
5. Add the melted chocolate to the cauliflower and blend again until silky smooth.
6. Spread into a small container lined with baking paper. Aim for about 1.5–2 cm thick.
7. Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, preferably overnight.
8. Cut into small squares.

⭐ For the best result

The 1:1 ratio by weight is the key starting point. If your cauliflower is particularly watery, use slightly more chocolate (225–250 g).

It will be soft and creamy straight from the fridge, rather than exactly like traditional boiled fudge. For a firmer, truffle-like texture, put it in the freezer for 30–45 minutes before cutting.
