A driver's license open more than just your car door! For young people in Aotearoa, the ability to drive represents new opportunities to learn, work, socialise, and access the community.

This learner was stoked to get some help from Literacy Aotearoa when it came time to prepare for his learner license. Our driver education programme helps prospective drivers to understand the road rules and practice to take the the theory test, increasing their chances of success on the first try.

We're trying to close literacy gaps and create more education equity in Aotearoa. With as many as 1.25 million adults facing challenges that affect their day-to-day, it's a big goal but one that is well worth the mahi.

Become an NZQA-qualified adult educator!

The New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching
NZCATT - Level 4, Credits 40.

Fully funded for citizens and permanent residents.
Online Programme - 34 weeks.

This part-time online programme is a fully funded pathway
into adult teaching and tutoring.

•For people wanting to enter a career in adult teaching, training or tutoring.
•For staff trainers in the workplace.
•For educators and facilitators working in the community.

The NZCATT L.4. is a professional qualification for adult and tertiary educator competence in Aotearoa New Zealand. After successful completion of this programme, you are awarded a NZQA nationally recognised qualification.

Adult tutors have specialist skills that allow them to work effectively with adult learners – these training and tutoring skills are in demand across Aotearoa in communities and workplaces.
Training with Literacy Aotearoa means you gain extra practical experience plus you have the opportunity to observe experienced tutors, in a national adult education organisation, helping learners overcome their education challenges.

Completing the NZCATT programme of study gives you the experience and knowledge to begin, or extend, your career in adult teaching, training and tutoring.

Literacy still have spaces for your learning needs! We have classes to work around your daily schedules, choose which classes you can attend and what days you can come. Even if you are attending other programs in the community, you may still be eligible for funded classes part time, contact us to chat further. :)

Literacy Aotearoa Levin want to give a massive shout out and nga mihi to the team at AA Auto Levin and the lovely Dominique Cvitanovic for the amazing donations of christmas decor, decorations and the brand new Christmas tree for our whare in here in Levin!
Our learners had a blast making our site so festive for the season and for our end of year awards and christmas event.
It's heartwarming to be a part of such a beautiful supportive community here in Levin.
