When was the last time you checked your first aid kit? 👀🩹

With winter here and life as busy, now’s a good time to take five minutes and make sure your kit is ready when you need it.

Check things like:
✔️ Plasters
✔️ Dressings and bandages
✔️ Antiseptic supplies
✔️ Gloves
✔️ Expiry dates
✔️ Anything your whānau uses often

Sometimes it’s not about buying a whole new kit. Even topping up a few basics can make all the difference.

And here’s something many people don’t realise… when you purchase Hato Hone St John first aid supplies, you’re also helping support the wider mahi we do in communities across Aotearoa 💛

You can shop online or pick up first aid supplies locally from our St John Retail Store in Levin.

We LOVE shoes 👟👠🩴💛

Today’s finds at St John Levin Store had personality for days.

From Vans to boots.
Leopard print slides.
Sneakers with attitude.
Heels with a little sass.
Shoes that make you think… someone cool must've owned these!! I wonder what these shoes saw!

And that’s the cool thing about second hand.

Because of people who donate, and people who shop with us, beautiful things get a second life instead of ending up in landfill and people who really need these things are also able to get them.

Someone’s old favourite becomes someone else’s new favourite.

So if your wardrobe is having a clear out, keep us in mind. And if your shoe collection could use a little personality… come and have a browse 👀

Want to support Hato Hone St John this June but not sure where to start? 💛

There are so many ways to get involved in Light the Way and help support vital ambulance station rebuilds and repairs across Aotearoa.

You could:

👟 Join Steps for Stations and get moving
🟡 Hold a fluro day at your school or workplace
👕 Run a m***i day
🏫 Get your school involved
🤝 Rally your workplace, club or community group
💛 Make a donation if you’re able
📣 Share the kaupapa and help spread the word

Big or small, every bit of support helps.

Because ambulance stations are more than buildings. They’re places where teams prepare, train, reset and get ready to care for communities.

Have you got a Hato Hone St John Ambulance Membership? 💛

It’s one of those things you hope you never need… but many people tell us they’re glad they had it when the unexpected happened.

Your membership helps give peace of mind by covering the cost of emergency ambulance attendance and transport where charges apply*.

And while membership supports you, it also helps support the wider mahi Hato Hone St John does in communities across Aotearoa.

Whether it’s for yourself, your partner, parents, grandparents or the whole whānau, it might be worth checking if your household is covered.
