Our annual HYC Prizegiving allowed us all to celebrate another successful summer sailing season!
Well done to all of our Learn to Sail youth sailors who received ther certificates of achievement!
Congratulations to all of our youth and senior sailors for their sailing successes across club series, regattas, points series and agregates.
A special congratulations to our 2025/6 club champs and the winners of our spirited and club services awards!
Many thanks to Scott, our guest speaker, for an entertaining and insightful recounting of life on the high seas sailing and racing in the big yachts!

Quest Winter Series starts this weekend!
Registration is at 12:30 on Saturday 16 May to allow for briefing, team allocation and rigging. Racing starts by 2pm!
Sailers of all ages and stages are welcome! Come and enjoy some team sailing, and get to know your fellow HYC'rs!

Starling Nationals went ahead in Worser Bay (Wellington) last week; managing to dodge the cyclone.
Well done Eoghan for 9th in Silver fleet. We look forward to hearing your comparison of a McKay v wooden starling.

Nice to see Waikato colours on that mast.

Congratulations to TYPBC opti team. Special congratulations to Charlie for taking the leap into the Open Fleet at Opti Nationals and winning best 11yr old girl. Some of yr HYC lake sailing hopefully helped you pick wind shifts on the light days.

Off and sailing on day 2 of the Predictwind Girls Champs and Kohimarama Yacht Club. More wind than yeaterday and a beautiful sunny day. Thanks to the "honorary girls" of the HYC dads and grandfathers supporters club for running repairs and getting everyone out sailing this morning!
