Reducing fossil fuels alone is not enough to make an impact. We need to address one of the biggest contributors to global emissions, our meat-centric food system.

Switching to a plant-based food system would reduce land and water usage, reduce pollution and most importantly reduce emissions.

And the good news is you can do something positive right away! Switch to a plant-based diet to minimise your impact on the planet.

Mr. Ahmet Sami Kulaklıoğlu, speaking at the Bonn Climate Meetings on behalf of Türkiye, the host country of COP31, stated that Türkiye shares the values highlighted in the BELEM Report.

"Food is not only a matter of logistics; it is also a significant contributor to global emissions. Moreover, climate change is affecting producers and food security in Türkiye, just as it is affecting them around the world. We truly believe that these negotiations must be reflected on our plates."

📣Action Alert ✍️

We are asking the UNFCCC to show climate action leadership by requiring the Bonn Climate Meetings held each year provide 100% plant-based catering, ideally showcasing locally sourced vegan organic (veganic) and agroecological produce.

A plant-based diet remains the single most effective dietary shift for climate mitigation, repeatedly endorsed by the IPCC. Now is the moment for concrete leadership from the Bonn secretariat.

🖤"Darkness cannot expel darkness, only light can do it. Hate cannot drive out hatred, only love can do it." Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

To look at this earth at Save & Care is to remember every day that nonviolence is not the absence of conflict, it is the active presence of love. At Plant Based Treaty, we work against the cold violence of the global food system.

But it is here, with our hands on the ground, that our heart finds the answer.
This community garden is a sanctuary within the sanctuary. The soil you see in the video is fed by the compost we created here, enriched by the free presence of the rescued animals. Beings who have known the hell of human exploitation and who today live in absolute freedom.

Nothing is waste in a vegan regenerative system, the "Inescapable Network of Mutuality" of which Dr. King spoke. The animals that were once victims are now the healers of the earth. They help nourish the soil that feeds us all. We care for them, the earth cares for us, and the cycle of violence breaks beneath our feet.

If you feel this appeal, if you believe that the universe is on the side of justice, join us.

Sign the Plant Based Treaty and support Save & Care Sanctuary. We will heal the world starting with the soil. 🕊️✨
