Cambodian Vincentian Youth Celebrate International Vincentian Youth Day 2026
The Vincentian Youth of Cambodia celebrated International Vincentian Youth Day 2026, observed annually on 4 July, under the theme "Hope Hope that embraces the mind and soul" The celebration was held on 5 July 2026 through Facebook Live, Google Meet, and in-person participation. The event was organized by the St. Catherine Vincentian Group of the Catholic Church Student Center.
The program aimed to help participants deepen their understanding of hope from the Vincentian perspective, reflect on how hope transforms the human heart and mind, and discover practical ways of bringing hope to others through acts of service. It also provided an opportunity for Vincentian youth from different communities to build friendships, strengthen their relationships, and grow together in faith and mission.
The celebration included a variety of activities, such as a short drama, action songs, and a keynote presentation entitled "Keep Moving Forward: Finding Hope with St. Vincent de Paul," delivered by Sr. Angela, DC. Participants also took part in a panel discussion featuring Fr. François MEP, Sr. Sany, and Ms. Sory, who shared their reflections and experiences on living as witnesses of hope. In addition, participants were encouraged by special video messages from the Bishop Ly and Ms. Julina.
Through prayer, reflection, discussion, and fellowship, the celebration renewed the commitment of the Vincentian Youth of Cambodia to become joyful pilgrims of hope, proclaiming the Good News and bringing Christ's love and hope to those most in need through the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul.
