Fatigue isn’t always about needing more sleep.
Sometimes we’re exhausted because we’re carrying too much in ways we don’t always recognize.
Physical fatigue from constantly pushing yourself.
Sensory fatigue from too much noise, information, or stimulation.
Social fatigue from always being “on” for others.
Decision fatigue from having too many choices and responsibilities.
Emotional fatigue from carrying stress, worry, or heavy feelings.
Compassion fatigue from constantly caring for others while forgetting yourself.
When these types of exhaustion build up, it can start to affect our patience, focus, mood, and ability to cope.
Recognizing what’s draining your energy is the first step toward protecting it.
And remember:
You don’t have to earn rest.
