As parents, grandparents, teachers, mentors and leaders, we all want the people (young or old) in our lives to know they can talk to us.

But what if feeling loved isn’t the same as feeling safe enough to open up?

Join Mike King, founder of I AM HOPE and Gumboot Friday, for a thought-provoking and honest breakfast conversation that will challenge the way we think about mental health, connection, resilience, and the conversations that matter most.

Mike will share what young New Zealanders are telling counsellors, what the Gumboot Friday data is revealing, and why the years between 10 and 15 can be some of the most challenging in a young person's life. Expect practical insights, relatable stories, a few laughs, and perhaps a few uncomfortable moments of recognition.

Whether you're raising children, working with young people, leading a team, or simply care about the wellbeing of those around you, you'll leave with practical tools and greater confidence to have the conversations that matter.
