Reminder: Monthly Morning Invocations, Breakfast & Community Meeting

This Saturday, 8 August

Join us as we begin the morning with the remembrance of Allah through adhkār (morning remembrances), the completion of the Qur'an, and a short reading from At-Tibyān by Imām al-Nawawī, followed by a community breakfast and our monthly community meeting.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members, share ideas, and contribute to the ongoing growth of Hillsborough Masjid.

Seerah Circle | Now Open to Brothers & Sisters

Knowing His Story. Loving His Character. Living His Sunnah.

Alḥamdulillāh! We’re pleased to share that our Seerah Circle is now open to both brothers and sisters.

Join us for a free 10-week journey through the Seerah (the life and biography) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, following the events of his blessed life chronologically and reflecting on his noble character, his mission, and the timeless guidance of his example.

Whether you're studying the Seerah for the first time or returning to deepen your understanding, this class is an opportunity to strengthen your love for the Prophet ﷺ and learn practical lessons from his life that continue to inspire us today.

August Morning Invocations, Breakfast & Community Meeting

Join us as we begin the day with the remembrance of Allah, gather as a community, and contribute to the ongoing growth of Hillsborough Masjid.

The morning will begin with the adhkār (morning invocations), completion of the Qur'an, and a short reading from At-Tibyān of Imām al-Nawawī, followed by a community breakfast and our monthly community meeting.

This is an opportunity for brothers and sisters to come together, strengthen community ties, discuss ideas, identify community needs, and help shape the future of our masjid. If you're unable to attend the entire morning, we'd still love for you to join us for breakfast and the meeting.

A Reminder for Ashura | 10th Muharram

The blessed day of Ashura is upon us — a day of gratitude, reflection and drawing closer to Allah ﷻ.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Fasting on the Day of ‘Ashura, I hope, will expiate the sins of the previous year.”
— Sahih Muslim

Ashura marks the day Allah ﷻ saved Prophet Musa عليه السلام and his people. Our beloved Prophet ﷺ honoured this day through fasting and encouraged us to observe it.

It is recommended to fast:
9th & 10th Muharram (preferred)
or 10th & 11th Muharram

Increase in fasting, remembrance, charity and good deeds during these blessed days.

Join us for Ashura Reflections
A reminder on the virtues of Ashura, its history, and the Prophetic guidance connected to this blessed day.

Wednesday marks the blessed Day of Arafah — the day the pilgrims gather on the mount, raise their hands, and call upon Allah in the greatest gathering on earth. It is a day of acceptance, of mercy descending, of sins forgiven.

Even those of us not performing Hajj share in its blessings.

Join us at Hillsborough Masjid for our Day of Arafah program from Asr to Maghrib. We’ll come together for salah, tahleel, dua, iftaar, and a potluck dinner. All are welcome.
