🔊 GUESS WHO’S COMING TO TOWN THIS FRIDAY… Queen Big Punch and Bigbada Boom Sound System! Making their way up Te Ika-a-Māui, they’re rolling into The Button Factory with a whole lot of bass and a mission to bring people together. 🔥

Championing wāhine and gender-diverse selectors, Queen Big Punch carries a deep love for Jamaican and UK sound system culture. Her colourful, custom-built rig brings reggae, roots and dub straight to the people. Built with upcycled speakers and plenty of soul, this beauty has a personality of her own.

And what better occasion than SMALL ROOMS BIG NOISE? Part of the Third Space Music Series, we’re joining forces with Whammy and Neck of the Woods for a neighbourhood celebration across seven stages. One ticket gets you into all of them, including both floors of The Button Factory.

These spaces live through the people who show up, share their music and make a dance floor feel like home. Come give the Queen a proper Tāmaki Makaurau welcome. 💜

END OF AN ERA 💛 Sending big love to Silent Studios NZ, a beloved part of Tāmaki Makaurau’s underground music community that has given us eight years of epic nights.

From an empty shed in Onehunga, Logan and the crew created a place for local talent to grow, international artists to come through, and so many of us to lose ourselves in the music.

We know how much work goes into keeping an independent space alive. To everyone who helped build Silent, kept it running, played a set or brought their energy to the room: thank you. 💪🙏

There’s still time for a few more dances. Their END OF AN ERA series continues through October and November, including one last birthday weekend:

We’re coming together to help fund a dedicated waka/van to carry the people, resources and equipment behind this consent, care space and harm reduction mahi to festivals this summer and for seasons to come.

This gathering centres and celebrates our Q***r, Trans, Takatāpui, MVPFAFF+, BIPOC and other communities who have helped shape this mahi and the dancefloors we love. Anyone who believes in kindness, consent and collective care is warmly welcome 💛
