Toitū te Tiriti - Interested Party Application - Treaty Clause Review Claim Wai 682 ‼️LINK TO SUPPORT IN BIO ‼️

Tēnā rā tātou e ngā maunga whakahī, e ngā awa tīpuna o Aotearoa whānui. Nau mai, haramai, whakatau mai i raro i te tāwharau o te kotahitanga.

Ngāti Hine have filed an urgent claim in the Waitangi Tribunal. The claim is asking the Tribunal to urgently inquire into alleged fundamental breaches of Te Tiriti and the principles of Te Tiriti that will occur if the the Crown proceeds with changing up to 23 laws to either remove their Treaty clauses altogether, or to reduce the requirement to consider the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi to no higher than “take into account”. The claim alleges that the changes will cause significant and irreversible prejudice to Māori now and for generations to come.

Toitū te Tiriti have filed an application to become an interested party to the Claim and to tautoko Ngāti Hine to try and get an urgent hearing. Timing is critical because the Government is already drafting the legislation and if they get it finished before the Tribunal can hear the claim, they will not be able to issue a report. Every day counts!

Nau mai e hoa mā! If you would like to be a part of the group that is represented by Toitu te Tiriti, please complete this form and your name will be added to the database of people that the Toitū Te Tiriti claim is advocating on behalf of. There is no cost for this registration.

We all have a place in this kaupapa. If you want to get involved, please fill in this form. If you are of Māori descent, you will be added to the interested party group and if you are of non-Māori descent you will be added to the list of kaitautoko / supporters of the claim. Every person is important to record our opposition to this ongoing attack on Te Tiriti.

Kei a tātou te mana ✊🏾

PROTECT TE TIRITI / PROTECT THE PEOPLE

Toitū Te Tiriti Bill : PSA - Attn Politicians‼️

Te Tiriti o Waitangi is not optional — it is foundational. We call for real protection from the kāwana.

Te Tiriti Justice cannot exist if governments are free to change its meaning whenever it suits them.

For mokopuna.
For the future.
For everyone who calls Aotearoa home.

The bill is coming - If you are proficient at policy writing and would like to assist in the preparation of this private bill reach out to us via DM - A bill by the people for ALL of Aotearoa.

Last week spent time with our whānau, sharing kōrero with rangatahi and painting banners in preparation for the hīkoi and vigil to honor the rangatahi who have been lost to houselessness across the motu, Lasy night he gave us a break down of how our founding documents are set up im their original forms to ensure we all looked after and everybody gets a kai.

To make real change we must have a government centered on upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the guiding principle to an Aotearoa where everybody thrives.
