Not sure what to do with all that citrus? 🍋
Come along to our hands-on Love Food Hate Waste preserving workshop with Wei at Titirangi Community House.

You’ll learn simple and safe ways to preserve seasonal fruit and vegetables, along with ideas for using up fresh food and leftovers before they go to waste.

We’ll be making preserved lemons for you to take home, and sharing tips for making your produce last longer, saving money and getting more creative in the kitchen.

Please bring:
• 1 sterilised, wide-mouth glass jar with lid (up to 1L)
• A chopping board
• A knife

We’ll provide the lemons and everything else you need.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register!

Join us for a fun-filled day of free creative activities throughout Titirangi Village on Saturday 19 September, 10am – 2pm.
This is a great opportunity for tamariki to explore with their caregivers and enjoy hands-on workshops and events with: McCahon House Museum, Te Uru Gallery, Titirangi Potters, Titirangi Community House, Titirangi Library, Titirangi Theatre.

This Whanau Day, stop by Titirangi Community House to make your own prize ribbon using recycled fabrics and materials. Celebrate yourself with your one-of-a-kind prize rosette brooch.

Nothing is ever really broken but new life and meaning is brought back making your piece a work of art and truly something special. You can also apply this technique on various materials like glass, wood, greenstone and shells.

Join Wei for this hands-on workshop at Titirangi Community House and learn how to preserve seasonal fruit and vegetables with confidence.

You will be making a jar of preserved lemon at the workshop to take home. Please bring ONE sterilised wide mouth GLASS jar with lid. Ideally the size of the jar is no more than 1L. Please also bring a chopping board and a knife for this hands-on workshop. Lemons and other ingredients will be provided.

New Class Alert!
If you’re looking for a fun, relaxed way to stay active during the week, come join us at the Titirangi Community House.

What is EveryBODY Dance?
This is a low-impact, creative movement class designed for all fitness levels and abilities. There are no complicated routines to memorise. Instead, we’ll move together through gentle combinations inspired by ballet, jazz, contemporary, yoga, line dancing and more, set to a mix of great modern and throwback songs.

Is this class right for me?
Yes! This class is fully accessible and tailored to how your body feels on the day. Whether you used to dance or are trying it for the very first time, you are incredibly welcome. Chairs are available if you prefer to exercise while seated.

When: Tuesdays, 12:30pm – 1:30pm (August 11th – September 22nd)

Where: Titirangi Community House

Cost: $5 per class, or $30 upfront for the 7-week block

What to bring: Comfortable clothes, a water bottle, and supportive shoes.

Please Note: We need a minimum of 12 participants to run this course, and spaces are capped at 20.
