AUCKLAND MAHJONG CLUB (Glen Eden Recreation Centre):

Our club started playing on Thursday mornings at the Kelston Community Centre in 1977.

In 2022, we relocated here to the Glen Eden Community Centre.

We are a self-funded not-for-profit club and charge a small membership and a weekly fee to cover our costs.

Our aim is to bring together like-minded people who enjoy playing the western version of the Chinese game of Mahjong.

Waitakere City School of Dance (WCSD), based in Glen Eden, offers a wide range of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Lyrical & Contemporary.

Catering to students from as young as 2 years old through to adults, the school provides opportunities for both examinations and performances.

TABLE TENNIS (West Auckland Community Group Free Membership Offer):

Following the successful "West Auckland Table Tennis in the Community" Project, whereby we installed 9 Table Tennis Tables in 90 days into various West Auckland community venues, the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) would now like to donate 20 WTTA Club memberships to any local West Auckland community group that may have members who would like a membership.

Valued at $25.00 each, each membership would entitle cardholders attending our Friday club nights to discounted session fees of just $10.00 per person.

The Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) welcomes back club members to table tennis, beginning Friday, 16 January 2026, at the Glen Eden Recreation Centre, Harold Moody Park, 40-44 Glendale Rd, Glen Eden :)

$10.00 per player for 2.5 hours of play, which includes bat hire if needed, and use of our Table Tennis Robot machine (which helps you to quickly increase and improve your player skill level)

Our last Friday club night for 2025 will be on Friday, 19/12/25, from 5.45pm to 8.30pm, Glen Eden Recreation Centre, Harold Moody Park, 40-44 Glendale Rd, Glen Eden.

We return in the New Year on Friday, 16/01/26 :)

WAITAKERE TABLE TENNIS ASSOCIATION TURNS 2 YEARS OLD THIS MONTH :)

To celebrate, we will be giving away 5 Club memberships (worth $25.00 each) at "Glen Eden Day" on Saturday 25/10/25.

Go into the draw for one of these club memberships, by registering your email address, and guessing how many table tennis balls are in our club container at our "Glen Eden Day" Community Stall.

The closest 5 guesses to the actual total will secure a club membership.
