Thank you to the SGI Buddhist Community for hosting our fourth event in the series "Exploring Sacred Spaces". We learned so much more about the Community's practices and beliefs and enjoyed the musical performances by the youth. All participants of the event were a living testimony of "peace begins with you and me".

Our third visit in this year's series of Exploring Sacred Spaces was held at the Baha'i Centre in Glen Innes. We even learned about some Baha'i Sacred Spaces in other parts of the world - despite the very different designs, they always have 9 sides and 9 entrances to symbolise unity and completeness.

What a wonderful afternoon with the sharing of history and faith. We were honoured to even have a Howick town crier and descendants of the first Anglican Maori priest with us. Thank you to the Christian AIFC Executive committee members who organised the event - and a special thanks to the hosting Anglican Community of All Saints Howick.

Please join us for the second AIFC event in our 2026 series Exploring Sacred Spaces this Saturday.

Thanks to all pastoral workers who support the victims of disasters.

25 years after the attack on the World Trade Centre the New Zealand priest Fr Emile Frische MHM remembers his ministry to the family members of the victims in New York.

The first event in our 2026 series Exploring Sacred Spaces took place in the Hare Krishna Temple in Riverhead. Despite being a cold and windy day, we were warmly greeted and welcomed. We learned a lot as our hosts answered all our questions patiently. Thank you to all who were there. Let's hope to see you and many more on Saturday, 19 September in Howick when we are hosted by our Anglican and Catholic colleagues.
