Great start to Sunday supporting the Howick Rotary Fun Walk & Run. It was awesome to see so many people of all abilities taking on the challenge. After this HW1 launched and supported the Scouts raft racing at Cockle bay and then off to a afternoon of taskings for our duty day on the water. We have an amazing group of volunteers!

Howick Rescue 1 made its annual trip from the beach up the hill to the 2025 Howick Santa Parade yesterday, and the sunshine brought out thousands of smiling faces. We loved seeing all the amazing floats, participants, and entertainment along the route. Thanks to everyone who gave us a wave — we hope your day was as awesome as ours!

On Saturday night, we came together for our annual awards evening — a special celebration of our incredible volunteers and all they contribute. It was a fantastic night to recognise the dedication, passion, and hard work that keep Howick Coastguard running strong.

Big thanks to Max and the crew at Westpac Rescue - Auckland for hosting us last night! It was an awesome opportunity for our volunteers to check out their impressive training facilities and see firsthand the incredible work they do. It was also a great change of perspective — usually, we’re viewing the helicopter from underneath as we help guide the paramedics on board!
