Business is built on relationships.

That is why we are proud to have Rhema Media as the named sponsor of our next Building Business Momentum event, Connections That Count.

In this video, Rhema Media share why they are supporting an event that brings local business owners, leaders and community members together.

When people connect, relationships grow. When relationships grow, businesses grow. And when businesses grow with purpose, communities grow stronger.

Join us on Tuesday 22 September at Kolmar Community Sport Centre for an evening of meaningful conversations, genuine connection and relationships that go beyond transactions.

Doors open at 5.30pm.

Proceeds from every ticket will support I AM HOPE and the Kolmar community sports centre.

Thank you to Rhema Media for supporting the vision and helping us create a stronger local business community.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Link in the comments.

“Excellence only has one standard.”

I heard those words last night and they stopped me in my tracks.

I had the privilege of attending the Akarana Women’s Rugby League jersey presentation on behalf of The Elite Community, as one of the team’s sponsors.

While listening to the captain speak, she said something incredibly simple, but incredibly powerful:

“Excellence only has one standard.”

And I thought, wow.

Because that doesn’t just apply to sport. It applies to business. Leadership. Relationships. The way we show up every day.

Excellence isn’t something we should switch on for the big client, the important meeting or when someone is watching.

It’s a standard.

It’s how you respond when something goes wrong.
How you treat people when there’s nothing in it for you.
How you do the small jobs nobody notices.
How you represent your business when nobody is checking.

You don’t need to be perfect.

But if excellence is your standard, then the question becomes very simple:

Does the way I’m showing up today meet it?

A powerful reminder from an inspiring group of women.

Excellence only has one standard.

ONE DIP. 630 REASONS. EVERY SECOND COUNTS.
On Friday, 11 September, our community will come together at Eastern Beach for the Spring Plunge 2026.

For 90 seconds, we will stand together in the cold to remember the 630 Kiwis we have lost and to stand beside those who may be silently struggling today.

They were mates. Workmates. Mothers. Fathers. Sons. Daughters. Brothers. Sisters.

They were loved. They mattered.

Because sometimes “I’m all good” means anything but.

This is about looking out for one another. It is about starting conversations, checking in on the people around us and reminding those who may be struggling that they do not have to face things alone.

You do not need to know someone personally to stand beside them.

The Spring Plunge is the brainchild of Walker Homes and has been bringing people together for several years. The Elite Community is excited to work alongside them, together with I Am Hope, Flex Fitness Howick and East Auckland Tourism, to support this important community event.

Already, 112 people have registered, with more expected to join us. Let’s see if we can reach 200.

Come down and take the plunge. Bring your friends, your family, your team or your workmates.

You can also support by sharing this post, encouraging someone else to register or simply coming along to show your support from the beach.
