When is the last time you did absolutely nothing for 10 whole minutes? Not texting, talking or even thinking?

Mindfulness expert Andy Puddicombe describes the transformative power of doing just that: Refreshing your mind for 10 minutes a day, simply by being mindful and experiencing the present moment. (No need for incense or sitting in strange positions.)

What a fantastic evening at our Highbrook After 5! 🥂✨

We had such a great time bringing the East Tāmaki business community together at the stunning, newly opened Beyond Radiology facility in Highbrook. It was the perfect backdrop for some relaxed networking and making some exciting new connections.

Guests enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the state-of-the-art, clinician-led suite, along with some delicious drinks and nibbles. We had a few prizes up for grabs and one lucky winner walked away with that $150 Westfield voucher! 🎁

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Beyond Radiology for hosting us in your incredible new space, and a massive shout-out to the Highbrook Medical team for their ongoing support and for offering walk-in flu vaccinations to help keep our business community healthy this winter. 🏥💪

It was wonderful to see so many of you there—thanks for making it such a memorable night!

🚧 Project Update: Easing Congestion on Accent Drive

Auckland Transport is preparing to begin construction on improvements for Accent Drive. Following the final design and approval stages, work is set to commence from mid-to-late June (weather permitting).

To minimise disruption, works will primarily take place overnight between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.

The project will deliver:

More capacity: An additional southbound lane towards Chapel Road, created by narrowing sections of the existing median.

Smoother flow: A weekday clearway (3:00 pm–7:00 pm) to help manage afternoon peak traffic.

Enhanced safety: Installation of broken yellow lines in selected areas to improve visibility.

This project is a low-cost, efficient solution designed to make better use of existing road space.

For any enquiries, please reach out to [email protected].

About the project Accent Drive carries up to 17,000 vehicles, including 7.4% freight, each weekday. It is also part of Auckland’s Peak Transit Network, serving key bus routes that connect residential areas to commercial and industrial employment zones. Reliable travel

♻️ Huge Win for Sustainability! 638 Pallets Diverted from Landfill

A massive shoutout to the 26 local businesses that stepped up and took part in our pallet collection at the beginning of May! Together, we collected an incredible 638 pallets.

The best part? 576 of those pallets have been recycled, repaired for reuse, or repurposed into wood chips! That is a huge win for reducing waste and putting sustainable business practices into action right here in East Tamaki. 🌏

Thank you to every business that got involved and helped make our neighbourhood a little greener.💚
