🌊🚣 Something pretty exciting is taking shape right here in Highbrook!

After years of planning and hard work, the Highbrook Regional Watersports Centre at Lady Fisher Place is almost complete – and it’s set to become one of Auckland’s premier watersports facilities! 🙌

Once open (November), the Centre will be home to everything from rowing and waka ama to kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating and more, while giving local schools much easier access to getting out on the water.

And there’s plenty in it for our Highbrook business community too! Local businesses are being invited to get involved as founding Corporate Members, with opportunities for staff team-building and learn-to-paddle sessions, access to the Club Lounge for meetings, brand exposure and even a future corporate paddling and rowing regatta. 🏆🚣‍♀️

We can’t wait to see this fantastic new community facility come to life right here in our backyard! 💙

💗 The Pink Campervan is coming to Highbrook!

Pop by Highbrook Crossing on Wednesday 7 October, from 9am–2.30pm, for free breast health advice and information from breast care nurses.

Ask questions, learn about mammograms, understand your risk factors and pick up some helpful resources (and a few freebies too!). Men are also very welcome to stop by and grab information for their whānau. 💕

Looky what we have here!!! 3 x orca in the Tamaki River outside Zinc, 96 Highbrook Drive. Splashing around and putting on a show on a Friday afternoon. Probably chasing stingrays around. Great sight and all the businesses calling each other. Zinc, Jost, Premium Apparel and Navia all been calling each other and walking over to each others businesses. Friday arvo 'fin times'

🚌 Eastern Busway Update – Tī Rākau Drive

Another big milestone is coming up for the Eastern Busway. In mid-October, Tī Rākau Drive between William Roberts Road and Gossamer Drive will undergo its final major traffic switch, with eastbound traffic towards Botany moving onto newly completed lanes.

A huge amount of work has been happening beneath the road too, including new stormwater infrastructure to help improve flood resilience, along with new footpaths and a separated cycleway for safer walking and cycling connections. 🚶‍♀️🚲

It’s another step closer to the Eastern Busway opening in 2027, bringing faster and more reliable public transport to East Auckland.

Security Reminder – Warmer Weather

As the warmer weather approaches, businesses are reminded to remain mindful of security—particularly when windows, roller doors and other access points are left open for ventilation.

Please remember to:

• Secure all windows, doors and gates when leaving your premises.
• Avoid leaving offices, reception areas or warehouses unattended while doors or windows are unlocked.
• Do not leave vehicle windows down to cool the vehicle when it is unattended—even for a short time.
• Keep valuables, keys and portable equipment out of sight.
• Check that alarms, security lighting and CCTV systems are working correctly.
• Ensure all staff follow your end-of-day lock-up procedures.

Opportunistic theft can happen quickly, so please stay alert and report any suspicious activity to Police.

If an incident is happening now, call 111. To report an incident after it has occurred, contact Police via 105 or online.
