Today is International Workers’ Day
Theme: “Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment.”

Behind every impact we make are people, dedicated individuals who give their time, energy, and passion to serve others.
Today is a reminder that supporting workers goes beyond physical safety; it includes creating environments where people feel respected, valued, heard, and mentally supported.

At , we recognize that a healthy team is the foundation of meaningful impact. When people are supported, they thrive, and when they thrive, communities benefit.

Today is World Malaria Day!
Theme: “Driven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.”

Malaria is still taking lives in our communities, especially among pregnant women and children, but it is preventable and treatable.
At Lonibu Health Development Foundation, we see the impact every day. Families burdened by illness. Mothers at risk. Children missing out on healthy beginnings. But we also see something powerful, solutions that work when communities take action.
Ending malaria is not just a global goal. It starts with simple, consistent actions at the community level:
-Sleeping under insecticide-treated nets
-Seeking early testing and treatment
-Keeping our environments clean and free of stagnant water
-Supporting pregnant women to access proper care

Now is the time to act, with urgency, with commitment, and together.
We have the tools.
We have the knowledge.
Now we must act.
Let’s protect our families, strengthen our communities, and move closer to a future free from malaria.

Celebrating the Strength, Love, and Resilience of Mothers

Today, on Mother's Day, we honor the incredible women whose love, sacrifice, and strength shape families, communities, and the future of our world.

Mothers are often the first caregivers, teachers, and protectors. They carry the hopes of their families while nurturing the next generation with courage and unwavering dedication, even in the face of challenges.

At Lonibu Health Development Foundation, we recognize that supporting mothers means supporting entire communities. Every mother deserves access to quality healthcare, safe pregnancy and childbirth, respect, and the opportunity to thrive.

To every mother and mother figure: your love is powerful, your resilience is inspiring, and your impact is immeasurable.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Strengthening partnerships for a more transparent and accountable future.

We had the privilege of joining the Tracka Development Foundation ZamTracka for the official launch of the STAT-OGP Project in Zamfara State, proudly supported by Naijayouthfund.

The STAT-OGP Project seeks to strengthen collaboration between government institutions, civil society organizations, and citizens to promote fiscal transparency, accountability, and responsible public spending. By creating platforms for dialogue and collective action, the project encourages citizens to actively track public resources and ensure that funds allocated to critical sectors such as health, education, and other social services are used effectively to benefit communities.

This initiative reinforces the importance of open governance, where citizens are informed, institutions are accountable, and development outcomes are improved through shared responsibility.

Our organization was proudly represented at the launch by our Executive Director and our Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening systems that promote transparency, inclusive participation, and better service delivery for all.

We commend the efforts of the Tracka Development Foundation and all partners working to advance accountability and citizen engagement in governance. Together, we can achieve

Honoring those who once stood in service to the nation. 🇳🇬

In partnership with thIBI Foundationon, we successfully implemented the Veterans Outreach Initiative reaching 140 retired military personnel from across the 14 LGAs of Zamfara State, who have dedicated years of their lives to protecting our country.

Through this initiative, we provided Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screenings to help veterans navigate challenges often experienced after years of service, like post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, emotional distress, and social isolation. The sessions focused on healing, emotional wellbeing, and restoring a sense of community and support.

To further show appreciation for their sacrifice, we also distributed gift boxes containing food items and other essential supplies, bringing comfort and relief to many of these heroes and their families.

This impactful initiative was proudly supported by the Hon. Minister of Defence, General CG Musa whose commitment to the wellbeing of veterans continues to inspire meaningful action.

We remain grateful to Lt. Con. Ibrahim Babainna (rtd) for the opportunity to give back to those who gave so much. Their service will never be forgotten. 🇳🇬

Today, we stand for People First.

On Zero Discrimination Day 2026, we raise our voices for People Living with HIV, Persons Living with Disabilities, and other vulnerable individuals who still face stigma, exclusion, and unequal access to healthcare, education and opportunities.

Discrimination delays treatment.
Stigma silences voices.
Barriers limit potential.

This must end!
