Day 2 Highlights: From Review to Adoption:
The second and final day of the Lonibu Health Development Foundation Organisational Assessment and Strengthening Workshop marked a major milestone in our journey toward institutional excellence and sustainable impact.
Throughout the day, officers responsible for various organisational documents presented key policies, strategies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and standard forms developed to strengthen our governance, operations, financial management, human resources, communications, monitoring and evaluation, procurement, safeguarding, and programme implementation systems.
Each document underwent a thorough review by the entire team, with constructive discussions, recommendations, and refinements aimed at ensuring that our systems remain practical, accountable, transparent, and aligned with best practices.
A significant achievement of the day was the formal adoption of the reviewed documents, providing Lonibu Health Development Foundation with a stronger institutional framework to guide our growth and operations in the years ahead.
The workshop also concluded with a comprehensive review of action points generated from both Day 1 and Day 2. Clear responsibilities were assigned, timelines agreed upon, and accountability mechanisms established to ensure effective implementation of all resolutions reached during the workshop.
As we close this important exercise, we are proud of the progress made and energized by the road ahead. The knowledge, systems, and commitments strengthened during these two days will position us to deliver greater impact for women, children, adolescents, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable communities.
This workshop was not just about developing documents, it was about building a stronger, more accountable, and more sustainable organisation capable of contributing meaningfully to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
