The Ja'afar Humanitarian Foundation in Nigeria is a charitable organization based in Gusau Zamfara State at No-1 Opposite Mariamoh Ajiri, NDLEA Road, Samuru Area.
Zamfara State, in northwest Nigeria is one of the state that has a high potential to National economic growth but is heavily impacted by significant insecurity in Nigeria which has hitherto stands the epicenter of violent attacks of bandits, kidnappings and community sanctions.
The Foundation engaged in immediate humanitarian and security needs to address some urgent demands to rescue the situation to the best of its ability.
Emergency relief:
Provide urgent humanitarian assistance to those in dire need and especially the innocent people in our region who need it the most. We especially focuses on those displaced by violence,
Humanitarian Affairs.
Rescue operations: Urge the government to prioritize the safe release of kidnapped individuals, while addressing the challenges of operating in remote areas.
Long-term support for survivors
Psychological and medical care:
Victims require psychosocial and behavioral therapy and medication to cope with trauma. Many affected families need guidance on how to support their loved ones through the recovery process.
Financial assistance:
We provide financial support for victims who may be unable to afford medicine or travel to access care.
Resilience building:
We offer support and training to help victims build psychological resilience and coping mechanism based on demand.
The Foundation activities centred on providing humanitarian aid and empowerment to the less privileged, with projects including food and clothing distribution to orphans and widows, and intervention programs at Almajiri schools.
The foundation's work on different Projects, e.g "Save the Almajiris," feeding programs, and providing clothes to vulnerable groups in communities, particularly to internally displaced persons (IDP) camps and young age students in Primary and Junior Secondary Schools.
Food and water distribution:
Providing food and water to orphans and vulnerable populations, especially those in IDP camps and Almajiri schools, in normal circumstances and Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan.
Clothing distribution:
Distributing clothing materials to orphans and widows, often in partnership with other charity organizations or interested philanthropic individuals.
Youth and child empowerment:
Supporting Almajiri schools through various aid programs to improve the lives of the children, e.g Back to School Project to poor and vulnerable who could not afford to continue their studies at different levels.
Support for widows:
Providing direct assistance, such as clothing, small scale business empowerment to widows in IDP camps, vulnerable families etc.
