โ€œWhen we win, people say Iโ€™m doing a good jobโ€ฆ and so if we donโ€™t win or we donโ€™t get results, then lot of itโ€™s 100% on meโ€.

โ€œSo I accept that and Iโ€™m not hiding away from any of thatโ€.

We want to win and want to win quickly. The next game is Sunday. Thatโ€™s all Iโ€™m thinking about right now, as the only focus I mantainโ€.

โ€œI totally understand the feelings of the supporters. Weโ€™ll have to accept it โ€” I totally accept it and I take full responsibilityโ€.

โ€œItโ€™s on me ultimately: as a team what we look like as how we play and what results you get. I take that, we move forwardโ€.

Olu is questioning the Super Eagles' decision to face Russia in their latest friendly.

Nigeria's last set of international friendlies included Russia, Iran, Poland and Portugal - and while Poland and Portugal were the kind of opposition Olu wants to see more of, he questions whether the NFF is actively seeking those tier-one matchups.

And then there's the bigger question: who is actually reaching out to who? .

Olu suspects the Portugal fixture may have been driven more by the Portuguese side than the NFF.
For a Super Eagles side trying to raise its level, should we be demanding stronger opposition every time we get the chance?

This sequence reminded me of the United we saw towards the end of last season.

10+ passes from the back before Cunha was stopped at the end.
We barely saw United play like this again in the derby.
