How GCC Trained 122 Girls to Be Peace Ambassadors in Borno

GCC, in collaboration with My IT-Consult and XPeace Associates, with the support of the Swiss Embassy, has successfully empowered 122 adolescent girls with practical peacebuilding skills. The intensive training, which commenced on Friday, 5th December and concluded today, focused on championing peace through various community-driven approaches facilitated by experienced peace practitioners.

The newly trained Young Peace Ambassadors will return to their homes during the holidays to serve as voices of peace, promoting dialogue, tolerance, and unity within their respective communities.

Yesterday, our students at GCC Girls' Academy participated in a Peace and Conflict Resolution Session, empowering them to become peace ambassadors in their communities, especially during the holidays.

They were trained on the causes of conflict, practical peacebuilding strategies, and the foundations of peace studies, with a strong focus on dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect.
