NIGERIAN OPTOMETRIC ASSOCIATION (NOA)
OFFICE OF THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

This is to remind all members of the Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA) of the importance of the timely payment of annual dues.

Payment of dues is a core obligation of membership. It supports the Association in carrying out its responsibilities, including:
• Advocacy for the profession at national and regulatory levels
• Payment of administrative staff and maintenance of the Secretariat
• Protection and promotion of members’ professional interests

Important Notice

All dues for the year 2026 were expected to be paid on or before December 31, 2025.

A 50 percent surcharge applies to unpaid dues after this date. Members who paid after December 31 are required to pay an additional ₦5,000 as a penalty.

Members are also reminded that payment of dues:
• Reflects commitment to the Association
• Is required to maintain good standing
• Is necessary for annual licence renewal

In line with the NOA Constitution, Article 1, Section I, Subsection 2:

“Before April 15 within the year for which dues should have been paid, a member shall be considered in good standing when current dues and penalty for not paying latest 31st December have been paid in full.”

Members who do not comply within this period risk losing their status as members in good standing, with corresponding professional consequences.

All members are therefore advised to regularize their dues promptly to avoid further penalties and to uphold the strength and integrity of the Association.

Your cooperation is appreciated.

Signed:
Dr. Idhugwe Mishael
Financial Secretary
Nigerian Optometric Association (NOA)
