World Stroke Day 2026 is just around the corner!

NASAM Petaling Jaya, in collaboration with Monash University & Boehringer Ingelheim, is organising “Embracing Life After Stroke” to celebrate our NASAM community and our 30-year journey towards supporting stroke community in Malaysia.

The event is dedicated to our Stroke Champions, families, caregivers, volunteers and healthcare professionals who have been part of this journey. The program includes post-stroke management talks, singing competition, public speaking competition, holistic activities exhibitions & awards presentation.

🥽 Virtual Reality (VR) Therapy – Making rehabilitation more interactive and engaging.

💡 Reaction Light Training – Challenging reaction time, hand-eye coordination, attention and cognitive processing.

🦾 Hand Robotic Rehabilitation – Supporting upper limb and hand function recovery through technology-assisted training.

🎵 A Moment to Pause, Breathe & Reconnect
Sometimes, rehabilitation is about movement.
Sometimes, it is about finding a quiet moment to simply pause, breathe and be present. 💙

Our Intermediate and Advanced Groups at NASAM PJ recently took part in a gentle singing bowl sound bath and guided relaxation session, creating a peaceful space away from the usual rhythm of therapy.

A stroke can change many parts of a person's life — and recovery is a journey that involves the whole person, as well as the people who walk alongside them. ❤️

And sometimes, it simply looks like closing your eyes, taking a breath and giving yourself permission to rest. 🌿

A heartfelt thank you to Vivian and the facilitator for creating this calm and meaningful experience for our stroke survivor community.

Healing is a journey. Recovery takes time. And every moment that brings balance, connection and hope matters. 💙

FitMi Flint Rehab is an interactive, gamified full-body rehabilitation system aimed at assisting patients in regaining mobility following a stroke or other neurological conditions.

At NASAM PERAK , our patient, Mr. Paerarasu, experienced a highly beneficial session utilising FitMi Flint Rehab. After several months, he has become active again through engaging hand exercises.

Last Thursday, NASAM Kuantan turned AEON into our VERY OWN TREASURE HUNT ARENA! 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

Suddenly… AEON became an Olympic-level treasure hunt. 🏆🤣

But behind all the laughter, they were actually moving, exploring, using their vision, thinking, communicating and working together. ❤️
Because rehabilitation doesn’t always have to look like therapy.
Sometimes, it looks like friends, laughter, a phone camera and a mission to find something purple. 💜😂
Who says stroke survivors can’t have fun? 😉

We’re here to prove that life after stroke is still full of adventures! 🌈✨
