It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, teamwork, and a lovely lunch together. We were also amazed to discover the hidden talents of our Stroke Champions.

Who says rehabilitation can’t be fun? 🎨🧠✨
Today, our stroke champions had an amazing time with the Speech Therapy Department of HTAA! From memory games and drawing activities to colourful batik painting, every activity challenged the mind, sparked creativity, and brought lots of smiles.

Speech therapy plays a vital role in stroke recovery — helping survivors improve communication, memory, thinking skills, and confidence in everyday life.
Thank you, HTAA Speech Therapy Department, for making rehabilitation engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable for our champions today! 💙

Recovery is not just about getting stronger — it’s about reconnecting, learning, creating, and living life to the fullest.

Our stroke patients had a wonderful bowling outing at Wangsa Bowl, 1 Utama. Everyone had a great time playing bowling, sharing laughter, and enjoying lunch together before heading home. It was a fun-filled day, and everyone truly enjoyed the experience. 😊

At the height of her career as Malaysia's youngest advertising agency MD at 25, Janet suffered a major stroke at age 44. With no information, no stroke-specific rehab, and a doctor who told her "if you don't recover in six months, that's it" — she fought back.

In this powerful episode, Janet shares her raw journey from paralysis to founding NASAM (National Stroke Association of Malaysia) — Southeast Asia's first nonprofit stroke rehabilitation organization — which today runs 6 centers and serves over 400 stroke survivors daily.

NASAM PERAK organised an induction program featuring a nutrition talk.

The topic of discussion was "Three Key Nutrition Strategies for Managing Diabetes, Hypertension, and High Cholesterol."
The speaker for this event was Dietitian Ms. Yeoh Chaiyen 👩‍⚕... We extend our gratitude to Ms. Chaiyen for the informative session to all our participants including our Stroke Champions.

✨ A successful morning of health and wellness at St James Hall , Cathedral of Sacred Heart …💜

Over 70 participants joined our Health Awareness Talk & Free Health Screening, featuring a fun aerobic session, health awareness sharing by NASAM Johor, and free health checks by Regency Specialist Hospital including blood pressure, BMI, and HbA1c screening. 🩺💪
