Less than a month to go until our annual conference! This year we have an exceptional range of keynote speakers and presenters, including art therapist and artist, Karen Vost.

In her talk, Karen will share The Love Booth, a community arts project using the analogue photobooth to document everyday love, build community cohesion and preserve collective social history.

Drawing on her dual identity as artist and art therapist, Karen explores how accessible, participatory artmaking can create belonging and bring diverse communities together.

𝐎𝐧 𝟏𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, Creative Arts Therapies Malta was happy to be part of the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 organised by Crisis Resolution Malta.

It was a very interesting and meaningful event, and we’re grateful to the organisers for giving us the opportunity to introduce Creative Arts Therapies and raise awareness of how they can support mental health and wellbeing in Malta.

Through creativity, expression and connection, the arts can offer a different, meaningful and therapeutic way of exploring emotions and supporting mental wellbeing. 🎨💛

The 𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 will take place in 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐨 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚, 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲, 𝐨𝐧 𝟕–𝟗 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕, exploring the theme “𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩” and the creative and therapeutic value of engaging with opposites.

✨ 𝐀 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂.𝐀.𝐓.𝐒. 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 ✨

Today, Creative Arts Therapies Malta had the pleasure of visiting the 𝐓𝐚’ 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐛 in Rabat, a remarkable initiative dedicated to creating opportunities, support, and meaningful experiences for children with special needs and their families.

This inspiring project is led by
𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, former President of Malta, and supported through funding from The Malta Trust Foundation. Her Excellency spoke with great passion and dedication about this vision, a project she deeply believes in and supports wholeheartedly.

𝐓𝐚’ 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 is a wonderful space with a rich historical background, and it was truly inspiring to see how this beautiful building is being transformed into a place where children, families, and communities can come together through activities, events, and inclusive experiences.

We are grateful to the 𝐓𝐚’ 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 team for welcoming us and hosting us, and we would like to thank everyone who participated in our C.A.T.S. Summer Event. It was a successful and memorable day filled with connection, inspiration, and joy.
