ដោយផ្អែកលើការពិនិត្យ UPR ជុំទី៤ របស់កម្ពុជាក្នុងខែឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤ ដែលមានអនុសាសន៍ជាង ៧០ ទាក់ទងដោយផ្ទាល់នឹងសិទ្ធិកុមារ និងយុវជន ការពិគ្រោះយោបល់នេះបានផ្តល់ឱកាសដល់អ្នកចូលរួមក្នុងការកំណត់វឌ្ឍនភាព បង្ហាញពីបញ្ហាប្រឈមដែលនៅសេសសល់ និងស្នើដំណោះស្រាយ ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់សិទ្ធិកុមារនៅតាមសាលារៀន និងសហគមន៍របស់ពួកគេ។

តាមរយៈការពិភាក្សាដ៏សកម្ម សកម្មភាពដើរមើលតាមផ្ទាំងព័ត៌មាន ការពិភាក្សាជាក្រុមតាមប្រធានបទ និងការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញ អ្នកចូលរួមបាន៖
•ពង្រឹងការយល់ដឹងអំពីអនុសញ្ញាអង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិស្តីពីសិទ្ធិកុមារ (UNCRC) និងដំណើរការរបាយការណ៍ UPR។
•ចែករំលែកបទពិសោធន៍ និងវាយតម្លៃវឌ្ឍនភាព ព្រមទាំងបញ្ហាប្រឈមពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹងកិច្ចការពារកុមារ ការអប់រំ ហេដ្ឋារចនាសម្ព័ន្ធ និងការចូលរួមរបស់កុមារ។
•រៀបចំអនុសាសន៍ដែលដឹកនាំដោយកុមារ ដើម្បីគាំទ្រការតស៊ូមតិនៅថ្នាក់ជាតិ និងថ្នាក់មូលដ្ឋានរបស់ CRC-Cambodia។

With funding supported by Sida through Save the Children, other partners and members, CRC-Cambodia brought together 50 children and young people, including 20 females/girls and 4 participants who preferred not to disclose their gender, to share their experiences, assess progress in implementing children’s rights recommendations, and develop practical, child-led recommendations for Cambodia’s 4th Universal Periodic Review Mid-Term Review.

Building on Cambodia’s 4th UPR in May 2024, which included more than 70 recommendations directly related to children’s and young people’s rights, the consultation provided a platform for participants to identify progress, highlight remaining challenges, and propose solutions to improve children’s lives in their schools and communities.

Through interactive discussions, a gallery walks, thematic group work and presentations, participants worked to:
•Strengthen their understanding of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the UPR process.
•Share experiences and assess progress and challenges related to child protection, education, infrastructure and child participation.
•Develop child-led recommendations to inform CRC-Cambodia’s national and local advocacy.

CRC-Cambodia is committed to ensuring that children and young people from diverse backgrounds—including Indigenous communities, children with disabilities, SOGIESC-diverse youth, and those from rural and disadvantaged communities—have safe, inclusive and meaningful opportunities to make their voices heard.

Children’s rights must be reflected not only in commitments, but also in real changes in children’s everyday lives. Their experiences, ideas and recommendations are essential to strengthening accountability and advancing children’s rights in Cambodia.

Together, we continue to create spaces where children’s voices are heard and valued!

On 4 October 2026, the Child Rights Coalition Cambodia (CRC-Cambodia), in partnership with UNICEF Cambodia, brought together 52 participants, including 26 females, in Phnom Penh for a child- and youth-focused workshop to learn more about OP3 and reflect on children’s and young people’s experiences and perspectives.

Through interactive and child-friendly activities, participants reflected on their experiences from previous OP3 consultations, reviewed key findings from the relevant research, and shared their thoughts on what could be continued, improved, and stopped to support meaningful participation of children and young people.

Participants also shared their perspectives on issues that are important to children and young people, including protection from violence, confidential reporting, concerns about retaliation, and access to justice. These reflections will help inform ongoing learning and discussion around the National OP3 Ratification Roadmap.

The workshop provided a safe and supportive space for children and young people to learn, reflect, share experiences, and express their views in a child-friendly environment.

CRC-Cambodia Annual Members Conference 2026

With funding support from Sida through Save the Children, the Child Rights Coalition Cambodia (CRC-Cambodia) held its Annual Members Conference 2026 in Kampot Province on 17–18 September 2026, bringing together 33 participants, including 8 women, from member organisations, the Board and Secretariat.

Under the theme “Strengthening Coalition Leadership, Collective Advocacy, and Meaningful Child Participation for Greater Impact,” members came together to:
• Reflect on CRC-Cambodia’s achievements, challenges and lessons learned
• Share experiences, evidence and good practices from member organisations
• Discuss the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2026–2030
• Strengthen the role of Technical Working Groups and member engagement
• Identify collective child rights advocacy priorities and actions for 2027
• Strengthen coalition governance through the CRC-Cambodia Board Election 2027–2029

The conference reaffirmed members’ shared commitment to building a strong, inclusive and member-owned coalition that advances children’s rights through collective advocacy, meaningful participation and joint action.

How can civil society turn children’s voices and evidence into stronger local plans, budgets, services and accountability?

With finding support from Sida through Sav the Children, on 16–17 September 2026 in Kampot, Child Rights Coalition Cambodia (CRC-Cambodia), together with Coalition for Partnership in Democratic Development (CPDD) and Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC), brought together 42 participants, including 12 women, for a practical learning and advocacy session on advancing child rights through Cambodia’s Decentralisation and Deconcentration (D&D) Reform.

The session explored practical ways to:
•Use evidence from children, young people and communities to strengthen advocacy
•Identify opportunities to influence local planning and budgeting
•Assess public services and local budgets through a child-rights lens
•Engage the right duty-bearers with clear advocacy messages
