Krousar Thmey Foundation First Cambodian aid foundation for underprivileged children / Première fondation cambodgienne d'aide à l'enfance défavorisée

Krousar Thmey ("New Family" in Khmer) began life in the refugee camps in Thailand in 1991, and is the first Cambodian aid foundation for underpriviledged children. It is apolitical and non-denominational. Currently operating in 14 provinces, Krousar Thmey is run by Cambodians, for Cambodians. Our three programs:
- Education for Blind or Deaf Children: the only comprehensive education system for th

e Blinds and the Deaf in Cambodia, key to their integration;
- Child Welfare: protection centers and family houses for abandoned children, orphans, street children and victims of human trafficking, with respect of each and everyone's identity;
- Cultural and Artistic Development: school of arts and access to an artistic activity, to enable every child to appropriate their cultural heritage and develop creativity and self-confidence.

This week, management teams from relevant departments at Krousar Thmey Foundation organized a refresher training session on "Financial and Procurement Policies, Personnel Policies, Child Protection Policies, Code of Conduct, and Children's Rights" for all staff across target locations, including: 🙌

Recently, the Child Welfare team held an internal reflection meeting at Krousar Thmey Foundation Child Protection Center in Siem Reap Province to review program implementation, key achievements, and challenges from the first semester.🔥

This meeting provided vital inputs to address areas for improvement and set a more effective direction for the second semester.💥
