The first step in recovery is connection.

Every person who came through this registration line had a story. We were honored to be part of their recovery journey.

Before resources are distributed, services are provided, and lives are impacted- There is a welcome.

During CHWF’s recent Hurricane Melissa Recovery Mission in Jamaica, our volunteers had the privilege of greeting and registering community members, helping connect individuals and families to the support they need as they continue to rebuild.

Recovery doesn’t happen in a single day. It happens through community, compassion, and people willing to show up for one another.

We’re not stopping. We’re continuing forward.

Phase 1 wasn’t a moment—it was proof.

Proof that when CHWF shows up, communities are served, care is delivered, and impact is real. From on-the-ground clinical support to direct community outreach, we did what we came to do.

And now, we build.

CHWF is officially announcing our October Phase 2 Recovery Mission as part of our 2026 Recovery Program—a sustained commitment to the communities we serve.

We are actively recruiting volunteers.

✔️ Individuals ready to contribute to meaningful, hands-on work

This is not passive support. This is active service.

Ndali is an Independent Educational Consultant who supports families through one of life’s most important milestones — navigating the college application process. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and connecting with people from all walks of life.

For Ndali, service is deeply personal. She believes that being able to uplift and support communities in need is both a responsibility and a blessing.

As a CHWF volunteer, Ndali is joining our upcoming recovery mission to Jamaica, where our team will continue supporting communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa through care, compassion, and community partnership.

Our volunteer team will provide free preventive health screenings, psychosocial supports, and distribute food & personal hygiene care packages to individuals & families in need. ❤️🧡💛

Britney is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in New York, where she works in an outpatient mental health setting supporting individuals on their healing journeys.

A proud first-generation Jamaican-American, Britney has always been deeply passionate about mental health awareness, advocacy, and service. She is especially committed to helping break the stigma surrounding mental health within Caribbean communities and creating spaces where people feel safe seeking support.

In addition to her professional work, Britney is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, an organization rooted in scholarship, service, sisterhood, and community impact.

Britney loves traveling, connecting with new people, and prioritizing self-care. She is excited to volunteer with CHWF for the first time, giving back in a place that holds deep meaning for her — a place she proudly calls home.
