The work of the team of clinicians makes all the difference during a mission. They bring hands and hearts that heal. Take a look at the love and energy on these faces.

Thank you Chain of Hope Uk and Gift of Life International for making this possible and for including our Jamaican children in this "chain of hope". Nine Jamaican families are much happier today.

At the end of last week's mission, 9 children were treated and after three days, 8 were discharged to home, while one is expected to be discharged soon.

Its a WIN for the children of Bustamante Hospital for Children, (BHC) Kingston, Jamaica.

Clinicians and support staff celebrate success in from of BHC cardiac centre, after treating 9 young ones born with heart defects. This, on Friday March 13 at the end of the weeks Catheterization mission at the Bustamante Cardiac Centre. The young ones are:

*B/o Yolanda 2yrs
*Mathelio, 8 yrs
*Reneecia, 5 yrs
*Gian Carlo 3 yrs
*Khaleel 2 yrs
*Dantay 11 yrs

The team visit to Jamaica was made possible with the financial backing of Chain of Hope Uk, Gift of Life Intl, supported by friends Chain of Hope.

Have ever imagined what a catherization procedure looks like?

Take a good look. Look at when the passage was created in the artery and the blood began to flow! It gives you goosebumps.

Thats the work of Chain of Hope UK esteemed Cardiology Consultant Robert Yates, Dr. Michal Galeczka, Poland and Dr. Sharonne Forrester of BHC, Jamaica with surgical assistance from the cardiac surgeon, Dr. Sherard Little, BHC. Jamaica.

Amazing work done today, for 7 hrs to save the life of 3 mth old baby boy, Asaiah from St. Ann, Jamaica.

Chain of Hope UK and its key partner Gift of Life International continue to mend little hearts in Jamaica and across the world.

Chain of Hope Jamaica and The Bustamante Hospital for Children, Cardiac centre is hosting another training visit. This time a team of 6 UK catherization specialists, sponsored by Chain of Hope UK & Gift of Life International have joined the local cardiology team to perform catherizations on children born with a heart defect.

Since yesterday, Tuesday March 10th,
the UK volunteers, led by Prof. Robert Yates, of Great Osmond Street Hospital (GOSH) and Dr. Sharonne Forrester and Dr. Tamra Tomlinson Morris, Consultants at The BHC have so far treated 7 kids with a few more to be seen.
The team visit ends this Friday.

Today March 10th, another Chain of Hope clinical team from the UK working along side our local paediatric cardiologists begin cardiac interventions at the dedicated Cardiac Centre at Bustamante Hospital for children.

Its a Catherization training visit!!
11 kids are on the list for cath procedures this week.

Jessica Jacobs, daughter of Dr. Jeff Jacobs, is currently pursuing her doctorate in psychology with a mission to support children and their families as they navigate the emotional journey of heart surgery.

Recognizing how overwhelming the process can be, her work focuses on helping young patients and their parents regulate their emotions before, during, and after surgery. Her main goal is to ensure that they feel supported every step of the way because healing isn’t only physical, it’s emotional too.

Eight 8 out of 100 children are born with a heart defect. Many of these kids go untreated, just like Britannia.

The mission of Chain of Hope UK and Chain of Hope Jamaica along with their partners and volunteers, are to treat these children in Jamaica and across the Caribbean, as early as possible.

These treatments take place at the dedicated cardiac centre at Bustamante Hospital for Children Jamaica at no cost to the families with these kids.

Maliki Green, now 18 years old, shares a special moment with Dr. Jefferson Jacobs, Founder of Cardiac Kids of Florida, during the 20th Anniversary celebration.

Maliki was just six months old when he underwent life-saving heart surgery. Today, he stands as a powerful reminder of what 20 years of partnership between Cardiac Kids of Florida and Chain of Hope Jamaica has made possible.

This is what legacy looks like, healed hearts, grown dreams, and lives transformed.
