🦎😂 RANDOM THURSDAY: EVERYONE DESERVES THEIR 15 MINUTES OF FAME! 🐾🐝

Our Jamaican house gecko, the one and only FRANCOIS, is BACK! 🇯🇲 Except this time, our night watchman has decided to clock in during the DAY! Sir, who approved this schedule change? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usually busy catching bugs after dark, Francois is now making daytime appearances like the celebrity he clearly believes he is!
He also loves to present himself whenever Island whiskers or Sabria comes over.⭐🦎

And you know what? Why shouldn't he get his moment in the spotlight?

ALL animals deserve recognition, even the creepy crawlers! 🕷️🦎🐜 Even misunderstood creatures that make us scream and jump onto furniture, every little life has its place in this world!

Now, Francois, please return to your regularly scheduled night shift. Some of us are trying to get things done! 😂😂

Day 2 of the Association for Animal Welfare Advancement Conference 2026! 🐾💛

Montego Bay Animal Haven is proud to be the first and, currently, the only Jamaican organization attending this conference! 🇯🇲

It’s been an incredible opportunity to share what animal rescue and sheltering looks like in Jamaica, where we operate with zero government support and virtually non-existent animal welfare laws. There are so many challenges that come with doing this work here, and being able to share our experiences, raise awareness, and help others understand the reality of animal welfare in Jamaica has been amazing.

We’re also making some fantastic connections with other rescues, shelters, organizations, and companies that are genuinely interested in working with us in the future! 😁🙌

We’re excited about the possibilities, the relationships we're building, and the potential opportunities this could create for MBAH and the animals who need us.

This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Montego Bay Animal Haven and animal welfare in Jamaica! 💛🇯🇲🐾

Starting off this week with GRATITUDE!!! 💛🙏

We have a very special thank-you to send to our wonderful friend and longtime supporter, Chris Ingledew from faithfulfriendspetcrematiom! 🐾💛

Chris has supported the Haven for years and is always there to help whenever he can, especially when we lose one of the precious animals in our care. His kindness has meant so much to us over the years, and this latest incredibly generous donation is no exception!

Thanks to Chris, we’ll be able to clear some outstanding vet bills, allowing us to continue providing our Jampups and Jamcats with the care they deserve. When you're caring for so many animals, that kind of support makes a HUGE difference! ❤️

Thank you, Chris, for your generosity, your compassion, and your enormous heart. We appreciate you more than you know! 🥹💛

And to everyone in Jamaica, if the heartbreaking day comes when you have to say goodbye to your beloved fur baby, please consider reaching out to Chris and his team.

Faithful Friends Pet Cremation was the first pet cremation service in Jamaica, and Chris treats every pet with such care, dignity, and love. Saying goodbye is never easy, but having someone who understands how much your baby means to you, who guides you through the process with compassion, and who helps bring your beloved companion home can make an incredibly difficult time just a little bit easier. 🐾🌈

ALRIGHT GUYS… TODAY WAS THE DAY!! 😭🙌💩

Pim Pim’s pipes have FINALLY been unclogged, and OH BOY 😅🤢 Let’s just say there was absolutely NO WAY this was ever coming out on its own. The sheer size and consistency of what was in there… 😳 scroll to the end for a picture (for reference my hand is beside)

Our poor little guy must have been feeling absolutely AWFUL with all of that inside him, but you honestly would never have known it. ❤️ Before surgery, I (Sabria) went to visit him and spend some time cuddling with him because, truthfully, we just didn't know what the outcome would be. 🥺

So, what happens now?

His colon was extremely overstretched, but we're hopeful that, because he's still so young, it may gradually return to normal over time. We can't say for certain just yet, though. The good news is that the actual tissue looked healthy, and there were no other signs of internal issues! 🙏 Thanks so much to Dr Pinnock and her team for performing the surgery and getting him all cleared out!! 💛💛

NINETY. TO. ONE HUNDRED. GRAMS.

Can you imagine carrying that around inside your little body?! 😭 No wonder this poor boy needed some plumbing work!

We'll be checking on him again tomorrow, but for now, he's recovering and hopefully feeling about a THOUSAND TIMES LIGHTER! 😂❤️

The next big milestone? Getting Pim Pim to finally p**p on his OWN! 🤞🙏 We're keeping everything crossed that his body can get back to doing what it's supposed to do.

BIG THINGS ARE GOING TO BE HAPPENING AT THE HAVEN!🐾🎉

A HUGE thank you to Jonathan and his company, Preferred Brands Trading Ltd.! Exciting things are in the works, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming!

Jonathan also came by to meet all the Haven Hooligans — and of course, Ma Cherry and Peaches were there to make sure he got the full VIP welcome! 🐾

We’re so grateful for people who believe in what we do and want to be part of making a difference for our four-legged family. The Hooligans may have stolen a little of the spotlight, but we have a feeling there’s lots more excitement to come! 👀

❤️ UPDATE ON OUR GORGEOUS LITTLE PIM PIM🐾

The plan was to do surgery today, but things have taken a different turn.

Last night, Pim Pim went home with Sabria to enjoy a little fun before facing this risky surgery. And boy, did he make the most of it! ❤️

While enjoying his evening, full of all the energy and antics of a puppy who clearly has a zest for life, he was p**ping. The stench was horrendous! His stool was green, with little pebbles and all sorts of things in it. His urine was also terribly yellow. Yet, despite everything, this little guy still had energy to spare! When he finally got tired, he took himself off to his bed, plopped down, and fell fast asleep. 🥹❤️

Fast-forward to this morning. Sabria took him in, and they repeated his X-rays. After reassessing him, the decision was made to put surgery on hold for now while they monitor him closely.

He will be receiving fluids because he's losing more than he's managing to keep in, and we need to see how things progress before deciding on the next step.

So, that's where we are right now. We're still not out of the woods, and we're taking things one day at a time. 🙏

Please keep all your fingers and toes crossed for our precious Pim Pim. This little boy has so much life in him, and we're hoping and praying he continues to fight through this. ❤️🐾

Milo and Mochi
The Beautiful Duo!

Two gorgeous bonded babies, one boy and one girl, and both are STILL waiting for their forever home! 🏡❤️

Meet Mochi, our little watchdog girl who notices EVERYTHING that moves! 👀😂 Then there’s Milo, her laid-back brother, a gentle soul and an absolute sweetie pie. 🥰

At just 6 months old, these two are a bonded pair who need to find their forever home TOGETHER! They’re fully vaccinated, Mochi is spayed, and Milo is neutered.

All they need now is a loving family, a BIG yard to run and play in, and humans who will love them and spoil them rotten! 💕

Sweet kittens available for adoption!!

Hey this one is especially for our Canadian friends but open to US adopters as well 👀👀

If you've ever wanted to adopt a cat or kitten from us now is the time! We have some flights coming up in about 12 days and we can't send anyone unless we have a home to send them to.

Ideally we'd love to keep these 2 girls together but we would consider splitting them up to a home with other young/playful cats or kittens.

If you're interested in adopting please reach out ASAP so we can get them in to be fixed, vaccinated and get their paperwork done and ready for travel. As of right now we only have flights to Toronto but if you're somewhere else and are interested please still reach out.

Our only major requirements are a loving home and being kept indoors. Please consider opening your home to these loving girls so we can free up some space for other kitties in need 🙏💛

This is Leefa, she's around 4-5 months old and we can spay her before she goes. She's a little shy at first but when she has a kitty friend to help her warm up, she becomes playful in no time! She loves hanging out with Trashley and occasionally getting a good wrestling session in 😅

This is Trashley (she was found under a bin) 😅 she's a super sweet little cuddle bug and loves snacks and treats 😁 she can also be spayed before adoption because she's just around 4 months old now.
